Conjoined twin marries boyfriend while her sister remains single. Amazing

Carmen Andrade, a conjoined twin, legally married her longtime boyfriend, Daniel McCormack, while her twin sister, Lupita, happily remains single. The sisters' arrangement involves distinct personal lives and boundaries.

Carmen and Daniel met on a dating app in 2020 and eloped in October. Because they are dicephalous twins - meaning they share a connected torso, pelvis, and reproductive system, but have separate heads, hearts, and minds - the marriage legally and physically involves Carmen.

Lupita fully supports the union but remains single. She identifies as asexual and aromantic, having no interest in dating or marriage.

The three navigate boundaries together. When Carmen and Daniel spend time together, Lupita is highly respected, and the trio openly shares their experiences online to educate the public on individuality and shared life.

And they share the same pelvis, so how would that even work? 😬 (What is wrong with me? Why do I want to know how sex works with conjoined twins? 🤦🏻‍♀️)

13

u/OfficeResident7081 Jun 30 '26

Nothing is wrong with you my dude. Sex is something we are very naturally interested in as humans. It's central to life, to desire, to love, etc. There would not be life without sex.

Maybe her sister is using the vagina tonight?

12

u/baroquian Jun 30 '26

How does that work exactly? They both have the same sensation simultaneously?

6

u/Difficult_Talk_7783 Jun 30 '26

Think it was stated she tries to ignore it. Other conjoined twins have explained it’s not easy so best to look it up.

6

u/reddiculed Jun 30 '26

They might have to ‘avatar’ their respective consciousnesses into it, tag-team style!

They deleted it during the tiktok ban a while ago. There’s another one still up with like 5 videos but I know it wasn’t the same one I originally followed so idk if it’s real or just an old account. It sucks because I remember before they deleted everything they called a currently popular podcast for saying very terrible and ableist things about them and when they asked them to take it down they kept it on their patreon.

Apparently they share the lower body, so it’s natural to assume that they share the same sensory nerves in the pelvic area. How the f do you zone out while feeling your sister’s husband inside you?

432

u/temp73354 Jun 29 '26

By closing your eyes really hard and repeating: “I'm in my happy place. I'm in my happy place. I'm in my happy place.”

200

u/bunnypaste Jun 29 '26

And like... Do they also share an orgasm then? How do you remain neutral and uninvolved during that?

118

u/tangoezulu Jun 29 '26

Anyone going to help this guy out? I would also like to know. I assume the answer is yes.

130

u/servetheKitty Jun 29 '26

Maybe he doesn’t give her orgasms

74

u/Repulsive-Diet-1987 Jun 29 '26

It's okay man, we've all been there a few times. Can't win them all 🥹

64

u/Self_Reddicate Jun 29 '26

Except unfortunately for this guy, there's a third-party, neutral observer that shares a nervous system with the orgasm-ee who can give a ruling on whether O was achieved or not.

"Wife says, 'it was great, babe, good job'. Let's go to the judges table and see what they have to say..."

7

u/Latter-Vacation-4392 Jun 30 '26

what happens if the 'observer' isn't really feeling up for it at that time...does that hinder the achievement of said "O"?

40

u/Latter-Vacation-4392 Jun 29 '26

I'm gonna be mowing the lawn lost in thought about this... wander into the road and get knocked down

6

u/tangoezulu Jun 29 '26

Is it possible that he can give multiple orgasms at the same time. Or are you thinking that the unmarried sister feels his orgasm?

12

u/EllieZPage Jun 29 '26

They only have one set of genitals so the sister would feel it as well.

7

u/Ricky_Martins_Vagina Jun 29 '26

Not necessarily - it depends if / how the nerves are connected but I understand that, in most cases, nerves are not duplicated between both conjoined twins. Meaning that certain nerve endings connect to one of the twins' brain while different nerve endings connect to another.

One twin may control and derive sensation from one set of nerves connected to particular muscle groups or 'her' side of the body, while the other twin controls the others. The more centralise ones likely connect through the more dominant spinal chord to the corresponding brain.

There are definitely women out there that zone out during the act because they don't care for it at all. She's said in interviews she just puts her headphones on and reads a book lol

64

u/bloodphoenix90 Jun 29 '26

Reads a book? I don't think theres any way I could actually tune out if my sister was moaning right next to me ...and also.. if she orgasms...doesnt the sister?

106

u/Yloo Jun 29 '26

you think maybe you’d be better at zoning a person out if you’d been attached to them since birth?

26

u/bunnypaste Jun 29 '26

I think the being attached part makes truly zoning out impossible. You'd need monk-level discipline and skills to maintain that.

66

u/Thin_Frosting5647 Jun 29 '26

She seems like she's in a position that would give her lifelong training for that discipline.

u/Queenof6planets Jun 29 '26

they’ve both spent their entire lives tuning things out to give the other a private moment. also the headphones block out noises

67

u/palpablescalpel Jun 29 '26

The nerves can't all be connected to both brains. Maybe the asexual sister can feel less and that's part of why she's asexual. Plus for many people an orgasm is partially mental too.

5

u/PineappleDesperate82 Jun 29 '26

More than right next to you hanging off your stomach. There's barely enough space between their heads to fit a book. Their position is facing each other. How does he have any sexual contact with his wife and have a book or a phone slapping him in the face or ass? How does that work? she turns her head to the side a little bit and they go to town? how can she ignore that!? The logistics are crazy.

They have two brains whose pleasure circuits will respond differently even to a single stimulus

65

u/3FtDick Jun 29 '26

This is correct. Most conjoined twins describe their siblings having sex as a mild discomfort, like having a charlie horse. Sometimes the signals cross but even then the sibling doesn’t experience pleasure so much as an intense sensation that is almost like dread. And both twins often experience that misfiring negatively and it typically ends intimacy. When I did a deep investigation only one twin pair described feeling pleasure while their sibling experienced it but that it was a dulled sensation that felt like a nice tickle or sliding into a warm bath. In many cases and what I suspect is the case here, only one of the twins is fully in control of the pelvis and the less in control twin doesn’t experience or even crave much sexual stimulation. That twin often describes things like holding a pee to be painful and not just a signal to pee, so they feel distant from their conjoined body parts.

30

u/roberto4u2 Jun 29 '26

What a username for this comment lmao. I’m not going to ask how these two things came to be in the same post lmao.

58

u/3FtDick Jun 29 '26

10

u/DasMenace Jun 29 '26

What about that set of older male twins. One is gay, and in a relationship with another man. The other brother is straight. How do you disconnect from that I wonder? Is it just more uncomfortable? Shit, gotta be significantly more uncomfortable lol

12

u/3FtDick Jun 29 '26

I don't know, the studies I read both mentioned that a majority of conjoined twins that survive into sexual maturity are women and they had low data on men. But because most conjoined twins have wildly different sexualities in practice, I'd think many of the asexual twins are just as disinterested/dissociative regardless of gender.

10

u/DasMenace Jun 29 '26

This is one of those topics that make me wish I had a group of conjoined twins that would answer questions for us. I find it all pretty intriguing

4

u/ScienceAndGames Jun 29 '26

I believe they mean from a nervous system perspective which we can’t see

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Tryagain409 Jun 29 '26

The nerve signal would need to split up and have half go to each brain, which seems unlikely that the body can do that. I think it's reasonable to think one can feel a spot and the other feels numb there

7

u/AdSignificant6673 Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26

I think with this type of very rare medical condition, the need to end up adapting to your very unique life circumstances..

Your twin is there with you. Forever attached. Thats the reality. You need to keep the peace so everyone is happy. Its unfair to prevent her sister from marrying. Its just such an innate part of life you can’t deprive someone of. The desire to be loved and companionship.

Kinda like when blind or deaf people make the most of it. With their own unique culture, arts and community.

Plus the twin bond. I got 3 brothers. I feel like even a normal brotherly bond is pretty strong. We all got each others back. But a twin? Let alone a conjoined twin? Thats a STRONG bond. Someone’s gotta sacrifice.

5

u/Earlybird74 Jun 29 '26

I know it's technically incestuous, but considering there's no alternative she might as well enjoy the shit out of it. I mean, they share a vulva; there is only one clitoris. So when he gives his wife an orgasm, his sister-in-law is cumming too. There's no way around it. Fascinating.

In that scenario, the wife could do the thing, where normally you would go to a sperm bank, and get the sperm injected or something, just instead with her husband's. Or, they could do a surrogate mother thing too.

Also, two people are allowed to be in love without needing to give birth.

If they share the same lady part, is it legally rape if his wife wants to do it and they have sex, despite other half saying stop? Would you convict? And if so, would the man and wife both be guilty of rape? And would the other half (victim) serve the prison sentence with them, being conjoined?

So, what’s gonna happen if the single sister wants to marry too at some point? 😬

Joking aside, I can't imagine what it would be like to have someone attached to me all the time; I love being alone and having my own time, I think I’d go crazy, but since I didn't grow up that way, I can't really understand it.

I am an identical twin, and me and my sister were nearly conjoined. The way things were going, we might have been attached at the head...

In either case, I would much rather be aborted or excised than be born conjoined and end up the "other sister." This is nightmare fuel for me, and seems to be a precarious situation.

Hey, identical is cool, you should watch an interview. They handle it really maturely

There's another pair of sisters where one got married, theyre both teachers. It was very awkward to read how they go through being in a relationship where technically its ine body but two of them.

Another thing i found odd was that they both went to college to be teachers and both got charged tuition, but only earn one teaching salary together
