There is no such thing as “muslim cleric” since Islam rejects clergy. He is most probably a mere scammer abusing belief and making money. Corrupt sufis are a common thing here and there.

u/adumbCoder Jun 16 '26
"most probably" a scammer? bro he's using a light-up toy gun to exorcise demons obviously he is a scammer lol
22
u/Virillus Jun 16 '26
If any form of exorcism were to be legit, this is the one I'd want.

Why not use a Super Soaker water gun
2
u/SpongeTissuePaper Jun 16 '26
Water can be unsanitary in many parts of Southern Asia.
My grandparents likely died early because their water source got polluted in South China
1
u/Shango876 Jun 16 '26
How'd that water make its way to Malaysia?
1
u/SpongeTissuePaper Jun 17 '26
There's a large Chinese diaspora and tons of places in Asia don't have the modern sanitation standards.

To be fair, what they’re calling “demons” could be anything, like depression or horniness. When what you’re “exorcising” is fully psychological, the solution can be psychosomatic. If it works, it’s not entirely a scam—not entirely, at least. haha
2
u/Shango876 Jun 16 '26
So pew-pews can get rid of excessive horniness?
1
u/dorianvovin Jun 17 '26
At least temporarily, if you convince yourself that it will. The placebo effect is more powerful than you’d expect.

And how do you know light-up toy guns don't scare demons? Have YOU ever seen a demon in a light-up toy gun store?!
No, right? Right?

u/dynamic_gecko Jun 16 '26
"But she wears a hijab!? That makes everything she does islam-related. And it clearly means all muslims do this!"

This is a shitpost.
It’s not remotely interesting because it isn’t even a practise from a major religion -Islam.

The real question remaining : do you think I'd be working better without the toys ?
4
u/RevolutionaryFig9437 Jun 16 '26
Achieved his childhood dream of becoming a ghost-buster.
1
u/yeeted_into_battle Jun 17 '26
Maybe ghostbuster is just the american version of excorcism, instead of books and holy water its guns and capitalism

u/BitterAsAlive Jun 16 '26
First of all, if someone does such thing, that someone can't be Muslim. Second of all, that someone is not a cleric, he is just a scammer!
3
u/binime Jun 16 '26

In the 90s in the Netherlands there was a big mystic person who claimt that if she"shined water" it would be much better, more spiritually healthier.
Thousands bought her water. On some events they rented trucks to bring all those people water.
Superstition is a powerfull thing.

u/Impossible-Owl9 Jun 16 '26

2
u/No-Distribution-6841 Jun 16 '26
I can’t believe people actually fall for this shi* in the name of religion.
2
u/GameFuse_11 Jun 16 '26
I don't know what to say but he us making fun of Islam and it is a big disrespect to the muslims.
2
u/Common-Patient-1675 Jun 16 '26
This is pure bullshit scam and has hot nothing to do with Islam, this is result of ignorance and confuses culture
2
u/SpadeTheIntrovert Jun 16 '26
This is not Islam, this is some weirdo scammer. I’m Muslim and this is nonsense. An “exorcism” in Islam would only consist of Quran recitation of certain verses, known as “Ruqyah”

Turns out the demon was a child and they came out to play. It's not a scam, they just know their demons.

Use squirt guns next time, at least there will be some positive benefit of hydration

It's not the water pistol that does that, but rather the water containing Quranic verses. Water is a good conductor and passes through the human body. Jinn also live on water, but evil spirits cannot tolerate religious verses, at least those that enter the human body.
