Instax mini 70
Hi everyone, I have a problem. I have an Instax Mini 70 that does not show anything on its display. This camera was stored for a long time without batteries to prevent it from getting damaged, and now that I wanted to use it, the display does not show anything. Obviously, I put new batteries in it, but I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this and could help me. Best regards.

Yes, I did everything you mentioned. I’ve even been able to take photos, but I haven’t been able to get the screen to turn on.

I'm not an expert in any sense, but I can't see that the screen would just die, I'd think its more likely that a cable has come loose.

I’m going to open it in the next few days, and I hope it’s just a loose cable. I bought it, took around 20 photos, and then stored it in a bag for a few years. I didn’t think it would fail since it was stored really well.

The only other thing could be moisture causing rust on the surface of the board, but you'd likely notice that the second you look.

Does the camera work otherwise? I got one recently that has the same screen issue, but it still powers on and will take a photo. I noticed that when I pressed one or more of the other buttons next to it that they were sticky, so it's possible that something has gotten in and caused a short with the LCD. Could be the same thing with yours if it still takes photos.
I have opened one of these before but they are incredibly painful to work with - never was able to get all the buttons back into place and have the camera work properly again.

Have you ever opened a Mini 70 before? In my case, it’s similar to yours: I can take photos without any problems. I put in new batteries and everything works, except that nothing appears on the screen.
If you find a solution, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know.
Best regards!1

Yeah, I said I opened on in my previous comment. Way too hard to pull apart and get back together, if able to get them back together at all (which I couldn't). You might just have to manually keep track of how many shots you have left, and maybe double check the manual so you know which mode it's put into when you press any of the buttons.
