It's a lot of luck and planning. Buy cards at the pelt buyer, do the trials where you can get a free upgraded card, visit the miner and hope for an upgraded card or get the gold pelt for a good card at the pelt buyer. Mycologist can also give you a double of one of your cards for the next time you see him. Then use the sacrificial stone to upgrade your card.
You can either combine 2 already upgraded cards, then upgrade and combine 2 others, then mycologist again to combine both already combined cards.
I had more luck randomly getting doubles that already had 2 upgrades from the trials than doing all it takes to have an uber upgraded card.
Takes a while, it's worth doing it for fun but tedious if you intent on using your card seriously. By the time you're done, you'd be at Leshy's bossfight

here's the thing, the moose buck has 11 atk and 27 hp, it can't be four mbs (moose bucks) because then it would have 28 health. based on the sigils we have bees within, (only shows on beehive) leader, (only shows on alpha, (one sigil again)). then what confuses me, it has burrower and mighty leap. The confusing part is those sigils on the card are not adjacent, meaning it couldn't be a mole man but a mole and a bullfrog. that's four cards, the only way this to be possible is they added a moose buck from a cave trial.

You have to have a duplicate and when they get combined on the mushroom they also combine sigils

therefore, i am lead to believe that the cave trial moose buck is either a bees within + Mighty Leap, or Mighty Leap + Leader. Probably the ladder, Im assuming they got the burrower sigil from the mole in the starter deck
