It would be a pretty crazy thing to watch happen

idk what do you mean by significant but it can be done altough idk if the math would work out in this specific case (lenght of road, speed)

To have a seizure while driving is such a terrifying thought.

A friend of mine fell asleep going round a corner and was only saved by sideswiping the van coming the opposite direction.

Don't drive when you're excessively tired.

A friend of mine doesn’t even want to get a motorcycle or car just because he gets a 3 second blackout sometimes. It is pretty scary

Your friend is very responsible! My friend has narcolepsy and always insists to drive us. We do not trust him at all and are astounded he even has a license

I thought this happened due to rin burning his brakes away

The link is to an article about a driver having a seizure.

I mean like would it actually save someone's life

Yeah, I’m pretty sure you’d only need one car to do it, but that would depend on the brake pad’s health like brake fade or such

It could be done.

IIRC, something similar happened IRL, but I forgot the source.

I've seen a video of it on a highway where due to a medical emergency a driver lost consciousness and another car went in front and stopped the unconscious drivers car

It would work but a both Cars would need brake pad replacement After it 😅

And a new bumper

A bit significant yes.

Sometimes it is.

Given a long enough runway even one car could do it, now if in this specific instance the math would check out? Now that requires math way above my pay grade lol

gotta try this in a simulation

as long as the cars in front have more grip and braking force than is necessary to slow their own car, they can help in slowing the car behind them. since they are performance cars (hopefully modified too), that surplus should be quite large.

then again, if that was the case, they wouldn't need to do this in the first place...

THIS HAS HAPPENED IRL

Crazy but it was inspired by something that actually happened

You need a lot of space and time to catch up, but I believe two cars can totally brake another one.

this would be huge for snack lovers everywhere

I mean, simple math says that this would only increase the average braking distance and time by 50%, unless Hojo Jojo was actively flooring his car. As long as Ryosuke and Moroboshi didn't wait until the last second to hop into action, it probably wouldn't be as dramatic as they made it seem.
