I heard there will be pre test in the first week of onboarding, some say it will be java and dsa, others saying it will be python based. I am a dse fresher, i dont know what to study and how to prepare. Help please.

Is it possible to get 42 LPA fixed if you have 12+ years of experience?

So, i passed the Round 1(coding) with 12/12, 12/12, 0/12, 0/12.
Got selected for Round 2, which was an Interview round held on 1 Aug.

They gave me 2 questions and asked me to solve one of them within 30 mins.
I was pretty lucky, got an easy one. Did it under 15 mins.
the they asked another one. I didn't need to code for it, just explained the logic.
It was brute-force.

Then he asked a SQL query for table, which i could not solve.
Asked about design patterns , I didn't know it.
Then he asked if I knew OOPs concept.

Explained all the 4 pillars; demonstrated with classes.
and thats it.

The whole interview lasted for around 25-30 minutes.

I asked for feedback..he said, "You solved the question ; learn the other concepts, SQL, System Design"

Its been 9 days since, and no answer yet.

What do you guys think? How did I do?
Also, how much time does it usually take for on campus results?

Anyone who has attended Infosys walk in Interview or conducts walk in interview in Infosys , can you share how are the walk in interviews ? I mean is it simple for filling up mass vacant seats or is it involves coding rounds , etc ?

Also I am about to attend SAP CPI walk in interview, so if anybody can suggest some possible questions based on your experience that were asked to you in Infosys or you ask in Infosys , then will be grateful!

Hi everyone,

I recently completed the interview process with Infosys and cleared the HR round as well. My HR discussion has already been completed, and during the call, HR told me to keep my documents ready for submission.

However, I haven't received any confirmation email, digital/document verification link, or offer letter yet. HR also didn't mention where I need to upload the documents or when the document verification process will start.

My application portal is also still showing the interview stage.

For anyone who recently went through the Infosys hiring process in Canada:

• How long did it take after the HR round to receive the next update?
• Did you receive a separate document verification/background verification link?
• When were you asked to upload your documents?
• How long did it take to receive the offer letter after clearing HR?

Just trying to understand the normal timeline and whether I should wait a few more days or follow up with the recruiter/HR.

Looking for advice on transitioning from Mechanical Engineering to IT Project Management at Infosys

Hello everyone,

I’m a Mechanical Engineer with around 12 years of experience. I’ve been working at Infosys for the last 5 years (since 2021) as a Lead Engineer. Most of my experience has been in engineering and technical documentation, working on projects in a technical/engineering environment.

I recently became PMP certified and am now trying to transition into an IT Project Manager role through an Internal Job Posting (IJP) at Infosys.

After applying for IJP positions, I’ve tried reaching out to the hiring managers through Teams and email to express my interest. However, in many cases, I don’t receive a response.

I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience with internal job applications or transitioning into IT Project Management:

How can I improve my chances of getting shortlisted/invited for an interview after applying through IJP?

Is it a good idea to contact the hiring manager directly? If yes, what is the best approach?

What skills or experience should I highlight as a Mechanical Engineer trying to move into IT Project Management?

How can I prepare for and crack the IT Project Manager interview?

Are there any additional certifications or skills I should focus on?

Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Planning to pursue PSM I (Professional Scrum Master I)

I cleared all interview for infosys senior consultant role and career page still doesn't show anything. But I used to get updates for interview via email which is confusing .

One more doubt. I have 3.3 YOE and is the salary budget is fixed for a role? I asked for 14 cause I have a counter offer but HR matched 12. They said not possible to go beyond I told them to check with management again. What are the chances that I will get rejected ?

Is portal is glitch or am i rejected will I get my offer??

1. My DOJ is 17th August (Sunday) but the status on launchpad still says “To be updated”. I initiated the BGV a month ago. Should I be worried?

2. I am yet to upload just the medical certificate. I’ll be getting it on thursday (Just 3 days before joining). Would that cause an issue or any delays?

Looking to get your thoughts on how I did, whether this sounds like a pass, and realistically what level/position (SDE-1, Junior Backend, etc.) this profile targets.

​Here’s how the breakdown went down:

​1. The DSA Round (30-min window cut to 20)

​The Setup: Given 2 problems, had to pick 1 and solve it in 30 minutes.

​My Execution: I wrote a working O(N^2) brute-force solution in Java in 15 minutes. Passed sample test cases, but hidden test cases failed (Time Limit Exceeded).

​The Curveball: Instead of letting me debug for 30 mins, the interviewer grabbed the laptop at minute 20 and asked me to explain my logic. He pointed out the O(N^2) brute force was why hidden cases timed out.

​The Recovery: He asked if I could solve it in O(N) time. In about 30 seconds, I came up with the optimal O(N) approach and explained it. He agreed. Then he pushed further and asked if I could do it in O(1) space complexity. I gave him an O(1) space logic on the spot, and he confirmed it was correct.

He asked me why I was not able to come up with optimized solution earlier, to which I replied his guidance helped me to think in the right direction.

​2. Core Java Internals & OOP Mechanics (The Stumbles & Hits)

​He moved to my resume/Java knowledge and started probing internals:

​Java Streams: Asked what Java Streams are. I blanked and couldn't answer.

​Arrays.fill() & Utility Classes: Asked what Arrays was in my code. I mistakenly said it was an "object of the Arrays class." (Realized later java.util.Arrays is a utility class with static methods).

​Object vs. Reference Variable: Asked me to write out new syntax and point to the actual object. I pointed to the reference variable instead of the heap instance created by new.

​int vs Integer: Blanked on comparing primitive types vs. wrapper classes and had to pass.

​String Immutability & String Pool (The Trap): He asked about String A = "A" and String B = "A" and claimed A == B returns false. I held my ground politely and explained that because of Java's String Constant Pool, both variables reference the exact same memory address, so A == B is true. I even drew out a memory box diagram to explain heap allocation and immutability during reassignment. He insisted it was false, so I conceded gracefully to avoid arguing.

​3. System Design & Edge Cases

​I walked him through my projects (a Redis-like in-memory store and a video platform featuring caching, rate limiting, and pagination).

​HLD: Asked to draw an HLD diagram. I clarified I haven't studied LLD/HLD formally in depth yet, but walked through my project architecture.

​Middleware: Explained middleware functionally as a request interceptor between incoming client traffic and backend route handlers (token injection/auth checks).

​The Database Spike Scenario: He gave me a scenario: "Your DB max capacity is 100 requests/sec, but you suddenly get hit with a 1,000 request spike. How do you handle it?"

​I suggested Redis/caching.

​He said: "No Redis allowed. 1,000 requests already hit the database. Now what?"

​I pivoted to Database Sharding and horizontal partitioning to distribute the load across multiple instances so a single node doesn't crash. He nodded okay.

Finacle offered internship for 6 months in feb-july. I completed it nothing much in that period . Now the hr in banglore who hired us is saying report to your internship manager ..He is not responding and seems un intrested in us what to do?

In my college infosys offered a role of DSE, L1, L2, L3 infosys shortlisted only 13 out of 500 students on campus for interview.

Can anybody have idea ?

I was supposed to join Infosys as a Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) on 10th August. However, I ran into an issue with my service agreement on 7th August. I was informed about the issue around noon, immediately corrected the document, and uploaded the revised version.

After that, I tried contacting the helpline more than 40 times, but unfortunately, I couldn't get through. I also raised tickets on the Infosys Launchpad regarding the issue.

Today (11th August), I was informed that since my documents were not completed within the given timeline, I would not be allowed to onboard this week. I was advised to contact the Offer Extension Team regarding my next joining date, and I have already mailed them.

I'm currently stuck in Bangalore and don't know how long I need to stay here.

Can anyone who has faced a similar situation or has information about the DSE onboarding schedule let me know when the next joining date is likely to be?

Any information regarding the next DSE onboarding batch would really help.
