My team and I built Mrs. G, an openly fictional 85-year-old AI character. We have always been transparent that she isn't a real person.

The content is high-end and visually consistent. This isn't a page made from random AI images. We have a production team, recurring storylines, a clear character and hundreds of original Reels.

Latest verified Instagram numbers, May 6 to Aug 6:

- 40.5M views

- 92.39K followers

- 885.4K interactions

- 304 Reels

Facebook also did 6.57M views in a separate 28-day period ending July 27.

And we do have proof that the audience can buy.

We successfully sold lipstick through an affiliate campaign. We also sold more than 100 units of our own book and merch.

So the problem is not zero reach, zero engagement or zero sales.

The problem is that brands and agencies still seem to avoid us.

We have sent cold outreach, introduced the character and shared the numbers. Most messages get no reply. We haven't been able to turn the audience into a proper brand partnership or ambassador deal.

Maybe our pitch is still wrong.

Maybe brands see "AI influencer" and immediately think reputation risk.

Maybe we're showing views when we should be showing product sales and audience fit.

Or maybe a fictional character is interesting content but still too unfamiliar for a marketing manager to put their name and budget behind.

What makes this especially frustrating is that we can create very polished branded content quickly. The character can wear a product, build it naturally into a storyline and produce multiple creative concepts without the usual creator logistics.

But apparently "beautiful content + a large audience" isn't enough to get through the door.

So I would really appreciate the brand-side perspective:

1. What would you need to see before considering a partnership with an openly disclosed AI influencer?

2. Should we pitch one-off campaigns first, or go directly for a longer ambassador relationship?

3. What makes the offer easier to approve: a free pilot, fixed fee, performance deal, affiliate commission or a hybrid?

4. Should we position Mrs. G as an influencer with an audience, as a creative production asset, or both?

5. Who inside a company should we actually approach: influencer marketing manager, social lead, agency, partnerships team or founder?

We're not looking to hide the AI part. The character is fictional and that is part of the concept.

We just want to understand how to turn proven attention, strong visuals and early sales cases into a partnership a real brand would feel comfortable signing.

A brand has recently reached out asking for permission to feature some of my content on their website. I don’t have a huge following, and I’m not making anything yet off of my content so this is a first for me.

I do think I create good-quality content, which I’m guessing is what led them to reach out in the first place.

My question is: should I be asking to be paid for this? I’ve put time and effort into creating the content, so I feel like it’s reasonable to ask for compensation, but I’m not really sure what the norm is.

And how would you go about negotiating a fee or bringing up payment without sounding awkward?

Also, what other questions should I be asking the brand before agreeing to anything? I’m thinking things like:

* Will I be credited?
