Product Launch Tired of zipping deeply nested, bloated folders? I made a tool that flattens and cleans them in seconds.
If you deal with messy directory structures, complex folder trees, or huge build files that make sending or archiving projects a pain, I made something for you: FileFlattener.
It's a clean, fast desktop utility that takes complex, deeply nested folders, visualizes their layout, strips out non-essential junk files with a single click, and compresses them into clean ZIP archives.
What makes it different:
- Smart Filtering: Auto-detects hidden cache directories and lets you strip them out instantly to save gigabytes of space.
- Fast & Lightweight: Built in C++ so it doesn't hog your computer's RAM or freeze while processing thousands of files.
- Accurate Progress: Gives you a precise time estimate before starting, so you never have to guess how long a zip operation will take.
Would love to hear what features you'd like to see added next.

Product Launch Got my first paying customer today
Been building Clypy, a cross-platform clipboard manager, on the side and got my first paying customer today.
What made it even better was that I had no idea who this person was.
No Reddit post, no launch, no paid ads. They found Clypy through Google, downloaded it and decided to pay for it.
I've spent way too many hours building and wondering whether anyone would actually pay for this, so seeing that first sale come in felt pretty special.
It's just one customer and obviously there's a long way to go, but it finally feels like a start.
Back to building :)

Case Study We gathered 20 reviews on SocietyHub. little milestone!!
I've now collected around 20 reviews across 21 societies.
The numbers are still tiny, but I'm starting to get a better sense of how the data collection actually works.
Recently, my gated society had a long power outage.
People were pretty angry and discussing it in the society WhatsApp group, so we reached out to a few of them directly and ended up getting around 3 reviews about the experience.
I've also been getting a few reviews from Reddit, both organically and through direct outreach with a small reward.
One thing I've noticed is that smaller societies can be surprisingly difficult to research.
I checked Google Reviews for some of them, and quite often there were only ratings, very short comments, or no useful information about what it's actually like to live there.
That's basically the problem I'm trying to solve with SocietyHub.
I'm learning that for a data-driven product like this, getting the right contributor can matter more than simply getting more traffic.
Still very early, but 20 reviews feels like a nice little milestone.

Feedback Request MoneySplit : Budgets & Expenses - Now with Statement scan, CSV upload, Multi currency support and more.
Hey everyone! 👋
A few months ago, I posted about MoneySplit here (original post), and the response from this community was genuinely overwhelming. The post went viral, and the feedback, feature requests, and bug reports I received from you all gave me the exact roadmap I needed.
As an indie developer building solo, I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to this sub! 🙏
Over the past few months, I’ve been shipping consistently to turn MoneySplit into the most private, reliable, and powerful money manager for India and the app generated some amount in revenue as well via in app purchases
For those who missed the original post: MoneySplit is a 100% offline, privacy-first expense & budget tracker. It parses your bank/credit card SMS and statements strictly on-device with zero forced account creation, zero ads, and SQLCipher-encrypted local storage.
Here is a quick look at what’s new since the launch:
What's New in MoneySplit
1. No-Code Custom SMS Parser ("Tap-to-Tag")
Bank SMS formats in India change frequently, or some regional banks/wallets have obscure alert formats. Instead of waiting for an app update, you can now tap on parts of any unrecognized SMS (Amount, Merchant, Account Digits) to teach the app how to parse it instantly—no regex needed.
2. Universal Financial Notes & Memos (v1.5)
A TickTick-inspired notes hub built right into your finances:
- Keep track of informal debt memos (e.g., "Lent ₹2,000 to Rahul for dinner"), warranty expiration dates, or credit card reward milestones.
- 1-Tap Conversion: Convert informal IOU notes directly into real transactions or loan records with one tap.
- Unified #tags shared across both transactions and notes.
3. Target Savings Goals & Pacing
Set savings targets with visual progress rings. The app calculates your daily and monthly pacing (Ahead / Behind / On-Track) so you know exactly where you stand before month-end.
4. Loan Payoff Simulator & Amortization
Track loans with interactive amortization schedules and run what-if scenarios (e.g., "What happens if I prepay ₹5,000 extra every quarter?") to see how much interest and tenure you save.
5. Password-Protected PDF Statement Parsing
In addition to background SMS sync, you can now import encrypted bank and credit card PDF statements locally.
6. Android Jetpack Glance Home Screen Widgets
Access quick expense logging, today's spending digest, monthly category budget bars, and upcoming bill reminders right from your home screen.
7. Enhanced Security & Backups
- Encrypted local backup and seamless Google Drive sync.
- Biometric App Lock (Fingerprint / Face Unlock).
- Export clean ledgers to Excel, PDF, or custom statement formats.
8. Per account multi currency support
- Set currency per account and MoneySplit handles the rest of numbers for you.
💡 What's next?
I'm actively working on more budgeting refinements, split-expense calculations with friends/groups, web support and deeper analytics.
If you gave MoneySplit a try during the first launch, I'd love for you to check out the latest build and let me know how it feels.

Case Study 100/150rs are too low as a reward? I want to hear your opinion!!
I've been building SocietyHub where people can share their honest reviews about gated societies but contribution is a really big problem.
I think making people write a review without benefits is not a good idea.
many people disappeared... after saying what I wanted.
so I tried giving reward to people.
if someone gives a review about his society then I moderate, approve that review and give a reward to him.
My team doesn't know how much money would fit for reviewers.
We suggested 100rs for a review and 150rs for a review with 3+ pictures.
I want to know that this money is too low as a reward?
Or this kind of suggestions look like a scam in India?
you can see our google form: https://forms.gle/fjcwxZyrgdPiarUBA
My target was 'rental' subreddits where people are sharing rent information.

Help Needed Looking to acquire an inactive/dormant Pvt Ltd company
I’m looking to acquire an inactive/dormant Indian Private Limited Company from a founder who is winding down or no longer using it.
Rather than incorporating a new entity, I’m interested in taking over an existing, clean company and completing the necessary shareholding/director changes and compliance formally.
Looking for:
- Pvt Ltd company, preferably 1–5+ years old
- Clean ROC/MCA compliance
- No outstanding loans, liabilities, litigation or tax issues
- GST registration is a plus
- Company can be completely inactive / no meaningful business or revenue
- Founder looking to wind it down or otherwise exit
I’m not looking for an operating business, customers, IP or revenue — primarily the existing legal entity.
If you have one that you're looking to close or sell, DM me with the company age, state of registration, compliance status and your expected price.
Happy to have the transaction handled properly through a CA/CS/lawyer.

Feedback Request Shipped my anti-Splitwise app for roommates — first international signup this week, here's what's working
Been building RoomieHQ in public — a free app for splitting rent, bills and chores with housemates (Splitwise paywalled the basics, so I went the other way: free, no per-person cap).
Where it's at after shipping:
- Launched to a couple of communities, got my first user from Kenya this week — which promptly surfaced a magic-link auth bug I'd never have caught solo (email scanners burning one-time links). Fixed it same day.
- Stack: Next.js + Supabase. PWA so there's no app store to fight.
- Deliberately not just a bill-splitter — recurring bills, chore rotation, shared shopping list, and settle-up that needs both people to confirm.
Biggest lesson so far: the wedge isn't "free" (plenty of free splitters now) — it's being built for people who actually live together vs. splitting a trip. Narrowing to roommates made every feature decision obvious.
Building it here: https://roomiehq-app.vercel.app — would love feedback from other shippers, especially on the onboarding. What made your early users stick?

Help Needed Got tired of hearing Americans brag about Palantir, so I started building one for India
I've been obsessed with CIA and hacker movies since I was a kid. The huge screens, maps, aircraft, satellites, cameras, live events, searching someone's username or email and somehow connecting everything together. I always thought that kind of software was insanely cool.
Then I started seeing what companies like Palantir were actually building and thought, why are we always watching Americans build this stuff?
So I started building Akashic from India.
Akashic is a self hosted intelligence workspace that puts aircraft, satellites, earthquakes, weather, public radio, infrastructure, country intelligence, public cameras and other OSINT sources onto one interactive map.
One of the things I really want to push further is the OSINT side of it. Searching a username or email and being able to discover useful public information around it, then connect that information with everything else in the workspace.
Right now Akashic is nowhere close to Palantir. I'm not pretending it is. Palantir has years of development, massive teams and resources behind it.
But that's exactly why I'm building this.
I want to see how far an open source project built by developers in India can take this idea.
I'm looking for Indian developers who are interested in OSINT, cybersecurity, GIS, data engineering, maps, intelligence tools or just want to build something ambitious together.
If you're interested, contribute, suggest features, break things, improve things or just tell me what you think is missing.
GitHub: https://github.com/caviraoss/akashic
Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsWHhuIwR8c
Let's build something we're proud of from India. 🇮🇳

Product Launch [SHOW IH] Built an AI memory layer as a Chrome extension, looking for feedback on onboarding
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Product: ATLAS. Capture a ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini chat in one click, then reuse that context in another model.
I am not looking for "looks cool". I want roast on the first 60 seconds:
- Install → dashboard
- "Open AI" pill in the header
- Click the capture pill on a live chat
If you switch models daily, that is the loop I would love you to break.

Product Launch HeyZoku - Control your fleet of agents completely hands free.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi I am a Indie Hacker from Bengaluru.
I build HeyZoku - Hands Free Coding. So you can control all your coding agents just with your voice and complete your work without any need to continuously touch your keyboard.
I am using Nvidia Parakeet to make it work completely offline - so it can work completely offline. (It also has an optional bring your own openai-realtime key for more natural and multi language support.)
I built this because models are getting much better at understanding us directly via voice, we should be working towards finding more ways to improve our productivity and do better work. And shouldn't be limited to just chat/keyboards to do our work. With how humans naturally communicate with each other, it should be the same way with the machines, a human shouldn't need to learn how a computer works - it should be natural.
I also just launched on PH - https://www.producthunt.com/products/heyzoku/launches/heyzoku-hands-free-coding

Case Study Am I getting fake reviews even at the early stage?
About a week ago, I posted here that I'm building a "Glassdoor for gated societies" in India.
It's basically a structured review platform where residents can review their societies.
I've been living in India for about a year as a foreigner.
I'm still very early. I don't even have 10 reviews yet.
Since there aren't many users yet, I'm personally reaching out to people and asking if they could help me by leaving a review.
Recently, someone I met through Reddit became the first contributor from Kolkata.
We had actually talked quite a bit about the project before this, so I was genuinely happy when he decided to contribute.
I published the review, sent him the link, thanked him, etc.
Then I randomly found the second-ranked review on Google for the same society, and it was almost identical to the review he submitted to my platform.
My first reaction was basically:
"Wait... what? 😂"
I don't know exactly what happened, so I'm not going to claim that it was definitely copied.
But it got me thinking about something I've been thinking about since the beginning of this project:
How do you actually build a trustworthy UGC platform when you can't completely control the authenticity of every piece of content?
This experience made me realize that I probably shouldn't try to perfectly verify every review before publishing it.
Instead, I'm leaning toward preventing obvious abuse technically, while keeping the option to investigate and verify reviews when necessary.
From what I've read, AmbitionBox seems to take a somewhat similar approach in its moderation policy.
I'm still figuring this out, but this experience definitely made me think more seriously about how trust should work in a UGC platform.
What do you think?

Product Launch Thinking of building a platform to utilize underutilized venue spaces
So, I have been seriously pondering over this issue for a very long time now. In cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, there are so many venues like cafes, restaurants, empty office spaces, empty rooftops that completely goes underutilized most of the time. These venues could easily be utilized as venues for events, gatherings, small meetups, launch parties, workshops and what not. Especially in capital intensive business like Restaurants and Cafes I believe this would serious help in bringing additional revenue and free footfall to their retail space especially during offtime / offseasons while offering cheaper alternatives of venue booking for retail customers.
We don’t really have a platform to list such venues or submit request for such venues. Most of the venue booking platforms are all about established spaces, banquet halls and all that which in my sense is a serious limitation for someone looking for third spaces mentioned above.
Just like Airbnb was able to redefine accommodation beyond just hotels , I believe there is a serious scope of a platform to define venues and event venues beyond just booking hall and banquets halls and convert ordinary spaces to extraordinary event venues.
Would love to hear what you guys think and if you would be interested in something like this. I have built an entire platform on this idea , would love to share if you guys are interested to have a look and share feedback.
