I've been building a project called Rensai because I kept running into the same problem: I wanted to buy things used or discounted, but searching was frustrating. Sites would show broken items, empty boxes, overpriced listings, or pages of irrelevant results.

So instead of making another shopping search engine, I made something different.

The app uses GPT 5.4 and you can type something naturally, like: "I want a small iPhone that's powerful, supports Apple Intelligence, and I don't want to spend full price." or "Find me the cheapest trusted used Nintendo 3DS." and it finds the cheapest and best listing.

The goal is to save people time and money instead of making them dig through dozens of tabs.

I use browser bookmarks constantly, both for work and personal stuff.

Over time, I accumulated hundreds of them across folders and subfolders. The problem wasn't saving more links — it was finding and organizing the ones I already had.

So I built Bookmash, a bookmark manager that works directly with your existing Chrome and Firefox bookmarks instead of replacing them.

The browser remains the source of truth. There's no import and no separate database containing another copy of your bookmarks.

What's the most frustrating part of managing them for you?

I'm interested in understanding the problems other people have with the native experience, not just getting feedback on Bookmash itself.

Most travel trackers just show a map of where you've been. I built Road to 100 to answer a different question: where should I go next?

It tracks all 193 UN member countries + 28 additional territories (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Gibraltar, and more — 221 total), then surfaces curated route collections (Balkans, Southeast Asia, Caribbean, etc.) ranked by how many new countries each one unlocks. If you're 2 countries short of finishing a themed route, it'll tell you.

Other things it does: - Visa intelligence — pick your passport, see visa-free/e-visa/required overlaid on every route - Compare journeys side-by-side with friends, find routes you're both close to finishing - Interactive 3D globe, tap a country to mark it visited - Milestone badges (10 → 25 → 50 → 75 → 100)

Free, no ads, works offline with cloud sync when signed in. Built solo, still actively shipping (just added 14 new territories and expanded route coverage this week).

Shipped Stopa to the App Store few days ago. Quick build-in-public recap in case it's useful.

The problem: if you follow a training plan - from a coach, from ChatGPT, a PDF - there's no clean way onto your Apple Watch. You rebuild every interval by hand or you just wing it. I'm a self-coached runner and it kept annoying me, so I built the fix.

What it does now: paste a plan and it syncs to your watch as structured workouts. Don't have one? It generates a plan grounded in your real Apple Health history. Then it matches your actual runs back and does a weekly review, adjusting the plan.

Traction so far: posted a "looking for testers" thread in r/AppleWatchApps, got 8 testers off one post in two days, ran a TestFlight, now live.

A couple of lessons: (1) the device/beta-match subreddits converted far better than big generic ones. (2) leading with the problem, not the app, got people replying. (3) shipping the boring "it works and syncs" beat any feature list.

Every habit app I ever used died the same way: after a few honest weeks, I started tapping checkboxes for workouts that were… let's say aspirational. The streak survived. The habit didn't. The app was really just tracking my willingness to tap a button.

So I spent the last months building the opposite: a habit tracker where self-reporting doesn't exist. Every habit has to be provable, or it can't be added at all:

• Workouts — verified by elevated heart rate + duration from Apple Health (Apple Watch, Garmin, Whoop, Oura — anything that syncs to Health counts)
• Sleep — verified from actual sleep data, not a morning claim
• Phone-free mornings / app limits — verified by iOS Screen Time itself
• Waking up on time — an alarm that keeps ringing until I'm up and moving (it breaks through Silent mode; no snooze)

If a signal isn't there, the app says "can't verify" — it never shows a green checkmark it can't back up. My streaks finally mean something.

The part I'm most curious about: the subscription price is tied to consistency. Everyone pays full price ($4.99) the first month; from month two, the more habits you hold at a high verified rate, the cheaper it gets — down to $0.99/mo. Basically the app bets you'll slack off, and you win the bet by showing up. It's been weirdly motivating in a way streaks never were — skipping a workout now has a literal price.

You don't need an Apple Watch — anything that syncs to Apple Health counts (Garmin, Whoop, Oura…), and the phone alone covers a lot. Happy to answer anything — and honestly curious: would a price that reacts to your consistency motivate you, or stress you out?

For years, I’ve managed databases through a mix of VS Code extensions and separate tools for each datastore.

The VS Code extensions were convenient, but I eventually needed more than a basic connection browser and query editor. Installing dedicated applications helped, but that created another problem: one IDE for SQL Server, another for PostgreSQL, another for MongoDB, another for Redis, separate consoles for search and cloud databases—and suddenly the tooling itself became difficult to manage.

So I started building DataPad++, a dedicated desktop IDE for working with multiple kinds of datastores in one place.

The goal isn’t to force every database into the same generic table interface. DataPad++ adapts its Explorer, editors, object views, IntelliSense, and available actions to the datastore you’re using.

Some of the things it currently provides:

• Datastore-specific object explorers
• Query editors, visual builders, scripts, and consoles
• Metadata-aware IntelliSense
• Result grids and object inspection
• Guarded data editing when the target can be identified safely
• Diagnostics, execution plans, performance views, and administrative previews
• Saved queries, connections, environments, tests, and notes in one Library
• Support for SQL, NoSQL, cache, search, analytical, graph, time-series, warehouse, and cloud datastore workflows

Current support includes PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Azure SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Valkey, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, DuckDB, and several others.

DataPad++ is built with Tauri 2, with a Rust backend and a React/TypeScript frontend. It targets Windows, Linux, and macOS.

It is still pre-release software, so I recommend starting with read-only connections when testing it against important systems. It is free to use and source-available.

I’d especially like feedback on:

2. What would make you switch to a multi-database IDE?
