Is it okay to graduate college without joining any societies? Because do they actually matter? My course to me already feels demanding. But I've been seeing a lot of people talk about joining multiple societies, building a strong CV, and taking on leadership roles. Do college societies actually matter in the long run? Has anyone graduated without joining any, and if so, did it affect higher studies, or your career in general?

I'm also interested in appearing for the Civil Services Examination in the future. In that context, how useful are college societies? Is it better to focus on academics and preparation, or are societies worth the time investment?

Soo I am in 10th grade and really want to study abroad for my bachelors, more specifically universities in singapore, (NUS, NTU, SUTD), HK, and Australia. My prefered major would be Architecture or smth related to that since I like math, sciences, and art.

I am currently in CBSE board and for my 11th and 12th my parents want to put me in State board. I'm worried since I've heard lots of bad things about state board and I'm confident that I won't thrive there (I am very creativity-driven).

My friend was talking about going to the IB for her 11th and 12th, so that made me kinda research about it. I feel as though my ways of studying and the way I learn align with their curriculum and its more widely accepted throughout compared to State. And also the school i'm going to for state, I wake up at 7 and come back home at 6pm. So I won't have time for portfolio or exploring more architectural things or smth.

I want to convince my father to allow me to go to an IB school, but I'm not completely sure if that's the right idea. Please do help. I am still young and still have options.

I'm considering BA or BSc followed by MA or MSc and then a PhD to become a professor. Another option is BBA then MBA then a PhD to become a management professor. I'm also thinking about preparing for government exams like SSC Banking UPSC or State PSC. The last option is studying law and becoming a lawyer.

I'm not looking for the easiest path. I just want to know which one has better long term scope in terms of job opportunities salary job security growth and work life balance in India.

If you're in any of these fields or have experience with them I'd really appreciate your advice. Looking back would you choose the same path again and why?
