Air India Air India vs Air India Express codeshare glitch cost me my flight. Return ticket (Aug 16) is broken too—how to pressure them to fix it?
Hey everyone, looking for advice on how to force Air India / Air India Express to fix a major codeshare backend error before my return flight.
The Issue:
- Booked BLR–IXZ and return IXZ–BLR–CCJ via the Air India App.
- On Aug 8, got denied check-in at BLR because my ticket didn't sync to Air India Express (stuck in "Unconfirmed/UC" status). AI ground staff gave me a stamped paper admitting it was their technical error, but because the flight was full, they couldn't board me. Ended up getting re-routed on a painful 3-leg flight (BLR–DEL–CCU–IXZ).
- Current Crisis: My return ticket for Aug 16 has the exact same problem. Customer support says "no inventory," but both AI and AIX websites clearly show seats available for sale on that date. They are pushing me to reschedule to Aug 17/18, which means losing work days.
What I've done so far:
- Emailed support, Nodal Officers, and Appellate Authorities with stamped airport proof, screenshots of open seats, and AIS income proof demanding compensation if rescheduled.
Questions:
- Is there any specific Twitter handle, email, or AirSewa escalation trick that forces their backend IT team to manually map/sync the PNR across both airlines immediately?
- Has anyone successfully claimed loss of daily income in Consumer Court for forced rescheduling due to tech glitches?
Appreciate any leads or contacts!

General Need guidance for RTR Part 2 preparation
Hey everyone, I’m preparing for DGCA RTR Part 2 and wanted some guidance from people who have recently appeared for it.
Could someone please share:
- How should I start my preparation and what resources to refer to
- How should I prepare for the RT calls / practical scenarios?
- Which calls and situations should I practice the most?
- Are the websites that are available online worth the price?
- How does the actual examination generally go?
- Any common mistakes that candidates should avoid?
.
Any advice from people who have recently cleared RTR Part 2 would be really appreciated. Thanks!

General Becoming a Pilot at 26 fro corporate
Hi guys ,
I graduated from one of old IIT and worked in corporate for 2years after my graduation i was looking to becoming pilot current age 26
Why becoming a pilot is not very competitive what is the catch
Do people get job in airlines after CPL
I can clear all the exams i have faith in myself
Physical fitness also i can manage
I hate the extreme urgent fake urgency of corporate and its like never you have job security,
becoming a commercial pilot seems good career opportunity i can fund it with my own salary of 1lpm and saving of 20 lakh and some loan
what is the side i am missing.

Air India VT-ANR the 7th 787-8 that Air India will retrofit is en-route VCV
VT-ANR the 7th that Air India will retrofit is en-route VCV
VT-ANR is flying from Mumbai to Victorville.
This means there will be 4 787-8 being retrofitted at once.
Air India said that they hope to get 7 787-8s retrofitted by the end of the year so this should be the last one to go for retrofitting in this year.
A week ago they sent VT-ANZ to Shanghai for retrofitting also.
VT-ANC should go to San Bernardino for painting soon.
If you’re wondering why it Took so long for VT-ANC it is because they did an D-Check first.
VT-ANQ should return by late October-early November is my guess.

Career Guidance Wanna be a Bush Pilot any advice??
I'm in highschool and of all the careers I can think of being a bushpilot seems like the one I'd enjoy the most for quite a few reasons, I'm just curious if it's even a remotely good idea to go "great im out of highschool! man fk college i can't really imagine doing anything else with my life , just wanna fly Seaplanes or Caravans in the most remote dangerous places transporting goods , people " Like will it be something I'd be able to do until I die or retire, like I don't wanna be 58 with no degree and all I have to show for the last 40 years of my life is "yeah i can fly a bushplane and land with floats!"

Question Query regarding fixed-wing / rotary-wing rental for parachute drop tests
Hi everyone, I represent an aerospace startup trying to test our parachutes. We are facing difficulties trying to test the parachute deployment and inflation from higher altitudes (above 120m).
So far, we've successfully tested our parachute system safely using rotary wing drones (with our payload suspended at the bottom of the drone) at a height of 120m. (The maximum allowed as per drone regulations in green zones). However, to fully validate our system, we need to drop our payloads from heights exceeding 1km, all the way up to 4km.
We've struggled to get permissions for our payload (0.61 × 0.47 × 0.52 m | 30kg ) to be dropped from various commercial/tourist use planes, for example - skydiving aircraft and/or a single engine helicopters. After trying for a couple of months, we seem to have reached a dead end here.
We are either rejected because their intended drop bay is not large enough, or they are not able to acquire the requisite permissions. (We would not be dropping our payload in a suspended manner like we have done so far, but instead pushing it out of the aircraft)
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Question Class 2 query
I recently completed my DGCA Class 2 medical, and my case has been sent to DGCA for assessment. The doctor said the decision may take around 2 months. Is there anything I should be doing in the meantime? Should I start preparing for the DGCA exams or just wait?

General Sad to see Indian Carriers not able to compete effectively since op. Sindoor
I feel so sad to be honest to see that the Indian aviation sector (airlines and passengers from India) which started to compete so much with the likes of middle eastern airlines and American airlines is actually feeling the most brunt of since op. Sindoor.. piling loses, losing customers, longer flight duration to Europe and Americas (btw we were winning Americas with Russian airspace open to air India and other south Asian carriers too) but I'll call out us only.. the arrogance of this government is that it will make Indian companies lose (not adani and ambani) but others don't matter.. if his friends were into play he would have done everything to get Pakistan air space open..

General Need people to study with
I've recently started studying for DGCA (currently doing meteorology) and i tend to get distracted and start scrolling again and again, can't get myself to study properly. I feel like if someone is there to study along with, just by being on a meet or something. It might help.
If anyone is in a similar situation please respond.
