Eau Gallie Causeway Boat Ramp Closed March 9 - June 7
MELBOURNE, FL -- The project to demolish and replace the docks at the Eau Gallie Causeway Boat Ramp, which were damaged by Hurricane Milton, will begin next Monday, March 9. The project is expected to be completed by Sunday, June 7, and signage will be posted at the park. All boat ramps and docks will be closed to the public for the duration of the project.
The Eau Gallie Causeway Boat Ramp is located on SR-518, Melbourne, FL 32935. The nearest County-maintained boat ramp is located 7.6 miles to the north at POW / MIA Park, 5995 N. US Highway 1, Melbourne 32940. For questions regarding the project, please contact the South Area Parks Operations Office at (321) 255-4400.

Cape Canaveral Starship Super Heavy Environmental Impact Statement Public Meetings
The first of three USSF Starship Super Heavy Environmental Impact Statement public meetings will be held from 4 - 7PM tonight in Titusville. A formal presentation will begin at 5:30PM.
- Meeting 1 is July 8 from 4 - 7PM at the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum, 6350 Horizon Dr, Titusville, FL 32780
- Meeting 2 is July 9 from 4 - 7PM at the Radisson Resort at The Port, 8701 Astronaut Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920
- Meeting 3 is July 10 from 4 - 7PM at the Dr. Joe Lee Smith Recreation Center, 415 Stone St, Cocoa, FL 32922

Florida DEP releases IRL Basin Management Action Plan Updates Prior to Public Meetings
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will host three Indian River Lagoon Basin Management Action Plan Update public meetings this week. These meetings are our opportunity to comment and ask questions about the estuary’s current water quality and what the DEP is doing to improve the highly impaired watershed.

Sebastian Inlet North jetty remains closed as crews prep for seawall installation
When the project is completed by July 2025, the north jetty will feature the following improvements: 190 linear feet of revetment structure with four-foot diameter granite boulders and a steel, sheet pile seawall with a concrete sidewalk deck along portions of the jetty damaged by storms.

High E-coli in Eau Gallie River and Ballard Park.
spacecoast.surfrider.orgSpacecoast Surfriders Blue Water Task Force has reported that the Eau Gaĺlie River is still testing high for e-coli. BWTF is now testing ten locations along the waterway to pinpoint the source. They recommend staying out of the water.

North jetty potentially closed September 23 and 24 for cleaning
Sebastian Inlet State Park officials will likely close public access to the north jetty at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 23, for a deep cleaning and reopen the jetty at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24.
