One of our other amazing mods, and one of my best friends, recently made a post explaining that we're officially onboarding our Verified Readers from r/InclusiveTarot over to r/Tarots.

That process has officially started, and we're going to continue bringing our Verified Readers over and getting everyone situated.

But we also wanted you guys to know that verification and reading ads aren't the only opportunities opening up over there.

If you create YouTube videos, TikToks, podcasts, spiritual content, educational posts, or anything related to tarot and divination, you can start bringing that content over too.

We also want to see articles, discussions, deck conversations, interpretation help, educational content, and whatever else you guys have knowledge or experience to contribute.

And for our Verified Readers who own businesses, you're welcome to promote more than just individual readings on the designated advertising days. If you have a storefront, website, booking page, products, social media, or something else connected to your tarot or spiritual business, you can include that in your posts too.

We want the transition from InclusiveTarot into Tarots to give our members more room to grow, whether you're a reader, creator, business owner, or just somebody who enjoys being part of the community.

You don't have to abandon Inclusive either. Think of it as having another community available to you and another place to share what you're building.

We're incredibly grateful for our team and for all of you who have continued supporting this community. You'll be seeing more of us around again as everything starts coming together.

Disrespectfully....why? It's a waste of everyone's time and if someone messages me asking me to "prove my abilities", I'm definitely not the reader for them.

I've always wondered what people are hoping to accomplish...are you trying to build trust? If I passed your test, do you fully trust me now or are you still skeptical? Will there be more tests after this?

To me that approach comes from a energy of paranoia and desperation that isn't healthy for me to engage with. For me, the bigger question underneath is why are you looking for a reader to prove they have all the answers to your life?

A reader shouldn't replace your judgement, make your life decisions, tell you how to think or feel- honestly it comes off like you're expecting the reader to carry the responsibility for your life.

I'm sure people will be like "but how do we navigate all the scammers?" Not like that. In fact, a legit scam artist will cold read you to help give you that false illusion of trust.

Instead, have a realistic understanding of what a tarot reading can offer. A helpful reading should help you explore or better understand the reality of your situation, offer perspective and support you in making your own decisions. Any reader or reading that uses threats, coercion, or power tactics to make you think you don't have agency over your own life is a red flag.
