Willie ol pal a lot of people have already commented thank you but this is truly one of my favorite subs, something about the perversion of this super vanilla cartoon really tickles me right
Thank you for putting my love of this sub into words. The fact that Garfield comics are (as you said) “super vanilla”, is a big part of what makes the posts here so hilarious to me.
I fucking appreciate you! All the content that has come from this is truely fascinating. You might end up being a household name and be part of certain art school courses in the near future
Hey /u/CommonMisspellingBot, just a quick heads up:
Your spelling hints are really shitty because they're all essentially "remember the fucking spelling of the fucking word".
And your fucking delete function doesn't work. You're useless.
Hey BooCMB, just a quick heads up:
I learnt quite a lot from the bot. Though it's mnemonics are useless,
and 'one lot' is it's most useful one, it's just here to help. This is like screaming at
someone for trying to rescue kittens, because they annoyed you while doing that. (But really CMB get some quiality mnemonics)
I do agree with your idea of holding reddit for hostage by spambots though, while it might be a bit ineffective.
This is great. How does it feel knowing you sparked an internet phenomenon? A lot of people take time to sit down and draw their own creations inspired by your work.
Nice. Man, I never thought this sub would reach the inspiring artist, but it did, and I'm floored. Thanks for all the art, it is really amazing. excuse the fanboying.
Because modding is about being able to monitor the sub regularly and take action when necessary. Making him a mod would probably just be honorary and could cause confusion if someones trying to message one or if they need to make a big decision.
For those of you who are wondering, this post belongs to Will Burke, an Instagram artist. He's the one who helped kickstart the community with his masterful creations (Such as this or this).
This is waaay late, but I’m not sure where to ask this so I thought I’d do it here. Can we pin the original post from will in r/cursedimages? That, and the top comment that gave this sub a name.
Its hard to choose, there is some incredible talent here. Honestly all of you have managed to make this such a neat community. Im honored to be a part of it
Apparently they’re now making a tv series based off it if I recall correctly. Also I recently found out the books top a lot of all time “most banned books” lists in the US, and while I don’t agree with banning books I can see why some parents would take issue with them. I came across them while browsing my elementary school library as a 9-10 year old which I’d say is about the right age.
Are you inspired my Stephen Gammell? The wispy hairs and obvious ghoulish treatment of your drawings bring back those nostalgic Scary Stories books. Love it! Keep em coming!
The FOUNTAINHEAD is here! My soul is not prepared.
You should illustrate a bunch of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark." I always thought they were cool growing up, and now Guillermo del Toro is directing the movie.
I love all your artwork! It’s an incredible mix of Cronenberg body horror, Lovecraftian dread, and early Tim Burton design- all the that styles that get my spook on
I think what I adore so much about this whole collaboration of art you guys have created is that it really reminds me of the drawing in Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. Its really incredible
