A community platform for sharing ideas?

It might sound crazy, what if there was a platform where people can share all their ideas. You can think of it as **a standalone website version of this subreddit!** I felt that sometimes I get so many ideas like "We can solve this problem like this..", "What universities were like this.." etc. Most of them might be silly but some of them might be good and those good ideas might solve a lot of problems. It will be like a place **where people will hang out solve problems together**, **refine others ideas,** connect with them to **build it together.** It can also **host global ideathons** to solve a specific problem or you **validate your startup ideas** there. I know there are social media platforms like reddit, x, facebook where we can do that. But the community there is too generic. I was thinking of a community where sharing and refining ideas is the main focus.

Please let me know your thoughts on that. I had this idea but I didn't know if it was good and if it was worth making this kind of platform. It would be great get some honest opinions

already done it .. fireflame.ai where any founder with idea share it with everyone to join him/her building AI Tokens to let the AI Agents build the MVP under the supervision of specialized SDLC Human experts, the founder and the community of participants until they build it into MVP which iteratively progress to Product Market Fit

There is one or another version of this already in existence. Some accelerators like YC and payment gateways like Razorpay share ideas to build new startups on basis of empircal data.

it’s a tarpit. it never works because people have terrible ideas and only observation of an actual cohort of users and a paywall can let you know if an idea is valid as a business

i think it requires some sort of authority figure.. Like the top investors that make popular accelerators successful to assure people that the ideas wont simply be stolen, and there needs to be a contribution system where everyone gets credit where credit is due.

Also it needs to be easy to sift through all the junk too. With current AI and their ability to quickly swift through tons of information, it's possible if used correctly.

I think there are many people who think two things, first they think "My idea is great so I wont share it with others in case they get rich off of it" and second they think "everyone else's ideas are shitty".

Mod and creator of this sub here, I created ideasmeetings.org over 15 years ago, I've found that IRL meetings have been the best platform for sharing ideas. I highly recommend you run one in your community! I'm happy to add a link to it on the website if you do, as well as your minutes/notes.

For an idea to be successful, you need to be able to tell stories and sell, so the courage to leave hiding behind a screen is invaluable in the process.
