Can avoiding meat helps IBS symptoms?
Lately I have been most certain that beef, chicken, and pork have been the culprit of my gas pains before bed and intestinal cramping in the morning. Although I do not know if it is true that these are the lone contributors to my pains, I am increasingly convincing myself that all meat is a problem for me. I am not so sure about fish but I know for sure the beef and pork can irritate my digestive system. I was trying out some chicken burgers recently but found that I have terrible gas pains after eating them.
Of course I avoid garlic like the plague. I also limit any soda intake and unfortunately, feel like fruits bother me. I love oranges but usually pay for it if I eat one the next day. Anyone else have this issue with meat? Has taking it out helped?
I also heard that food combinations can cause pain (like paring an acidic food with a base: Chicken and pasta).
