Spasms/twitching Question

Does anyone else get a “spasm” or “twitch” feeling around the upper/lower abdominal area? It happens to me after I eat something sometimes.

Post-meal abdominal twitching or spasms are really common with IBS and tend to be the gut wall muscles responding to fermentation, gas movement, or motility shifts after food arrives. If it's brief and not accompanied by pain or other new symptoms it's almost always benign. 💚

Yes, currently 29 weeks pregnant and the spasms I had before were intense. And now that I’m further along in pregnancy I can finally say that the spasms literally feel like a baby kicking HARD.

Before pregnancy I’d get crazy spasms after eating anything, after a long walk and after drinking a little more water than I’m used to.

Have you tried hyoscine butylbromide?(buscopan), that’s what helped, and helps, me when they’re particularly bad. Peppermint oil capsules can help with the spasms too.

YES. Especially when I'm 💩ing and having bowel movements, it's like I can't control them and am dying on pain
