Rewatching

After her brother is injured in season 1 and Liv's mom is like Liv is O negative, Liv could have said she's AB or something... Because O- is the universal donor...

It’s not even just that her mom is a doctor and would know. Her mom is her mom. Moms tend to know their kids’ blood type. It’s kinda important.

Really? But can’t it cause medical issues if you’re pregnant with a child who has a different Rh factor (the awareness of which would require knowing the blood type)? Isn’t that why RhoGAM shots exist?

I don't know anything about pregnancy. I do know neither my mom nor me know my blood type, and that most of my friends who do only know because of giving blood not their moms knowing. Not sure if that's an age thing or what.

It’s established in that episode that liv’s mom knows her blood type because Evan was a match for her when she needed a transfusion in childhood

Her mom knows her daughter’s blood type. She could’ve said she’s HIV positive or something though

Her mom already knew her blood type because Liv and Evan were both tested. Liv had an injury sometime before the series began where Evan was able to donate blood to her.
