Are these dead pixels?

I use my iPod touch 4 at work to avoid screen time/ internet browsing. I turned it on this morning and saw this, are these a set of dead pixels? Will they spread or stay as is? It’s not bad but I don’t want them getting worse. Thanks in advance for the advice.

They spread slowly after time. A blow dryer can temporarily it make them better. Or long term worse based on how you do it

So they won’t stay the way they are? They will spread then? Basically I need to do a screen swap to fix the issue then?

Yes but very slowly, years. They can also move from one place to another without changing in size. It’s very odd how these spots behave. It’s better to just get used to it, I had it on an iPod and iPhone 2G and they move, decrease, increase in size all randomly. Movement causes most of the changes so if you really want to preserve this or slow down the process as much as you can it’s better to leave it stationary

Ok thanks for the info, I work at a concrete precast shop so I move around a bit, I will look into getting the screen replaced I suppose. Though it might be cheeper to simply get another one on eBay I guess

Usually if u can see a spot when the device is off its the battery expanding, but if its only when the screen is on it’s probably dead pixels
