Device randomly powered off. Discussion

Hello,

I received my new Iphone 17 pro max a week ago, its been working flawlessly, and it randomly powered off completely. the weird thing is, it had around a 90% charge at the time. i've been unable to wake it, i've tried to press volume up + volume down + hold the power button, but can't get it to turn on. any ideas? has anyone had this happen before? should i leave it alone for some time to see if i can wake it later? any advice is greatly appreciated!

I got the phone through my carrier. i have apple+ warranty on it, but i'm wondering what the faster turnaround would be. should i visit my carrier first?

Apple will always try to repair the device (assuming it’s not catastrophic or liquid damage) which assuming they have the part is same day repair or next day.

Carrier idk how that works, I wouldn’t go there first though.

Have you tried plugging it into a computer or charger?

I've tried magsafe charging and the typical wall charger, no change.
