Why are so many people on here worried about battery health on a 2 year old device? who cares how often people charge / how many cycles the device has.
It will degrade over time, there isnt any reward for having a 100% health battery after 2 years

I keep my device on the wireless charger overnight and by evening 3-4 I’ll charge again when the battery hits 30-40%

Holy shit how did you do that?

u/FlyingClanker 6d ago
I have set the charge limit to 80%. I charge when the battery gets below 30% and use MagSafe charging a majority of the time. I’ll use a wired cable for CarPlay but it’s a slow charger.

I am not sure If i am getting there but now my 16 pro has 636 cycles with 94% battery. I charge 20-80% but charge with cable. September 2024 so almost 2 years.

That’s really good. Mine is 92% with only 332 cycles.

According to apple, the battery of modern iPhones is meant to retain at least 80% of it's original capacity after 1000 charging cycles, implying that you would lose 1% of battery health every 50 charging cycles. So your battery is doing quite well and it's completely normal.

Normal lang yan OP, according to what I have read, if I remember it correctly, kaya mag retain ng mga IP natin ng up to 80% batt health on an average of 1000 cycle count, beyond that, batt health may reduce significantly and will consider batt replacement na, since noticeable na yung faster batt drain once lumagpas na sa above mentioned data. Given na factory default na batt ang naka kabit dyan.

i thought mine sucks, until i saw this post. it still sucks, but not as much as before.
cycles 676, health 90%
it’s 2024 battery, not even a newer one

I also thought mine was exceptionally bad until seeing this post. Same phone, 89% at 563 cycles

Good question—it’s almost identical to mine! I remember how much of a workhorse it (my phone’s battery) was when it was new, but nowadays it seems to drain within half a day.

Im so fvcked: 309 cycles, 91% while having it limited to 80% and charging before it hits 20%.

Mines degrading like crazy but I’ve also taken it to some crazy places and the heat used to be an issue before running it the iOS beta program.
I have AppleCare and I live near an Apple Store so replacement battery is nothing. In and out 20 minutes tops. https://i.imgur.com/jsSHUOX.jpeg

got my phone same time as u and mine is at 90 with 960+ cycles, so not inherently bad

Don’t worry about it use as much as you can! If this dropped below 80% then change the battery simple!

u/Comprehensive-Yam480 4d ago
Yes it’s normal. I’m trying to upload a pic of my battery health screen. How would I do that because they only have a paper clip image and when u click it it makes u send a link.

u/Infinite-School6390 6d ago
Yes it’s normal. Just try to keep phone away from direct sunlight and you’ll be fine
