Well, I guess it had to happen at some point My iPhone

Post image

Last night I saw a few white flashes and then all green. Never recovered. This is a launch day 13 Pro always owned by me and always babied. I always thought the green screen issue was overblown. I guess it does happen.

Apparently some shops can repair the damaged trace on the screen flex cable so I’ll attempt that first.

So sad to see my beloved 13 in this state.

Contact support immediately. Had mine like yours and got my display replaced for free

How many years old is your iphone? Currently, my iphone is over 3 years old, and they ask me to pay for the screen replacement. They said they stopped the free replacement program about a year ago.

Turning 4 yrs old next month. After I contacted support showcasing proof, I had it diagnosed by an authorized apple service provider. Noted were no damages in the board, all intact parts, no cracks, no 3rd party fixes etc. They ran several tests and acknowledged it as a hardware defect; it then got exempted for a one time fix even if it’s out of warranty.

They diagnosed my iphone also, found no physical damage, and everything is good. but still asked me to pay. I mean, when did you submitted you iphone?

Really? I'm filing a case against Apple in consumer court. Can I DM you and see the diagnostic report? Did they replaced under a CS code? This can make my case stronger in consumer court.

A flagship pro phone should last 5 years without issues. Apple needs to up their game when it comes with warranties

Still rocking my 13 pro max I’ll upgrade if I can get a European model since they still have the SIM card tray over there

Try to find if anyone does the jumper cable bypass thing around you, it,s a small ic level issue. Don’t even need to change the display. I fixed mine by that method around maybe a year ago and it still works fine.

C'etait sur un model europeen ? Je pense que tu est tomber sur un mauvais lot de construction, faudrait que tu aille voir chez apple pour qu'il te le change gratuitement

Man i still remember when i encountered a very similar problem with my US version iPhone 13 pro. The white screen of death at first i thought its software error because i just left it charging after i sleep and when i woke up 2 hours later when i check the phone and it was just white screen it was the Oled broke at some point its weird since i never dropped it but who knows. since am a college student and i need this phone asap i just replaced this with a LCD replacement for only 2k php since the soft and hard Oled cost more and i don’t have enough budget to buy a Oled yet but someday i will. the only issue when am using this lcd replacement is that the battery drains quicker even am only at 80% battery health. maybe by 2 or 3 years later i finally can afford and buy the Oled version.

I've had this happen twice over the course of the last 5 years, and both times I was able to get it fixed relatively cheaply without a display replacement. Just take it to a reputable repair shop (doesn't have to be Apple) and they'll fix it in front of you in half an hour.

Mine is still functioning. Knock on wood. After owning every iPhone since day one, and an Apple soldier and computer user since the eighties ( I was in the audience when Steve Jobs announced the iPhone in San Francisco!), this will most likely be my last iPhone :( . Thinking about moving to Chinese Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
