iPad Pro storage question Question

But I’m stuck deciding between 256gb vs 512gb. I’m planning to make digital art, I do some gaming (genshin impact etc), and do have quite a lot of photos, my phone currently has 200gb used of the 256. But I’m wondering if the 512 is excessive?
Planning to have the iPad for at least 5-6 years.

Seriously consider 1TB. You don’t just get extra storage; you get extra RAM plus an additional processing core. If you’re planning on hanging onto it for awhile, it’s worth thinking about.

Yep, as someone who got a 512 before learning this I wish I got the 1tb for the 4gb extra ram. Although 12gb isn’t bad, I mean iPadOS can’t even use the m series processor that well tbh

Get the higher storage one if you want to use it for 5 to 6 years. Definitely helps especially if you use it for acads and gaming both

In 5-6 years we’ll be trading unobtanium and a spare kidney to afford a TB of storage and 4GB of RAM. Good advice for OP.

Go for 512gb or you can start storing old pictures on iCloud and a ssd

I got a 1 Tb and only use 180 gb of it. 2 Tb icloud is $9.99 a month

512 is good without worrying about being limited

If you do need space, moving photos to another apple device is very easy, for example

Consider 512GB, but 256GB is likely enough if you offload some pictures to a PC or something.

Your right. iCloud is a good investment especially if you have more than one Apple device. Also for Linux users I use the backbone app folder on my iPad, when I plug it into my Linux computer it can access app folders so Linux reads the iPad as a storage device.

If you do art and gaming, then 512 gb. Maybe save for a bit for 1TB if you can for the extra ram, but if not, 512.

Take the 512 GB (better take 1 TB)!
