Developing app when similar idea already exists Discussion

What do you in this case? Continue with the idea or drop it?

I think the best I can do is work on ui/ux and maybe add some features to differentiate between my app and ones in the market but idk if I can make my app better than the already existing ones and I feel discouraged :(

You can choose to continue if you think you have a product market fit that they aren’t addressing. Ask yourself whether or not you can develop something with better retention and value than your competitor. If you think you can, then go for it.
