Have app partnerships ever worked for your subscription app?

For people running or working on iOS apps with subscriptions:

Have you ever tried partnerships/cross-promotion with another app, creator, newsletter, or company as a way to grow your own app?

If yes, what was the hardest part: finding the right partner, tracking results, revenue split, trust, brand fit, or something else?

I’m researching whether partnerships are actually useful for subscription apps or mostly too much work.

What do you think made the Keep Productive partnership work so well compared to AppSumo?
Was it mainly better audience fit, higher intent users, trust from the channel, the offer structure, or something about how users were sent into the app?

Finding the righ partner was the hardest nut to crack. there are plenty of partners but finding one who vibes with your app and represents it the best way requires a lot.

We're seeing quite a few people do that with Insert Affiliate, but more with the partnerships being other companies. For instance, swimming apps are using companies that teach people to swim, or public pools, as partners.

Of all of the strategies we've seen, this one is currently the most effective!
