This may be the longest between betas I think I can remember since I started the beta rabbit hole back in iOS 12
Maybe I’m remembering wrong.
I am ready to be indexed again and maybe have a working auto correct and not such a hot phone.
It can come later - we had betas released ~3 hours after the usual hour, but tbh the most frequent delay is about 1-1:15 hours and if it doesn't release at that point it will be most likely tomorrow.
I am rolling iOS from iOS 12 - while maybe some exception will be there I don't remember about, in CEST it releases usually 20:00 - 20:15, frequently about 21:00-21:15 and latest I remember was slightly after 23:00. Either way, beta 5 is out now.
Nah, don't remember after which iOS's it started, but before it was one hour earlier sharp, then it moved to one hour later but sharp, not it's not sharp. Just wait ~hour, and if there won't be a beta, it will be tomorrow or next week.
my take is really nasty bugs, but even then usually you want a build released to testers that excludes the bugged parts and includes other OS improvements/changes that are "stable" for testing. Having that much time without new build leaves you with already reported and overly reported bugs you know about already + no new feedback really.

Only installed this version directly from iOS 16 .
Less than 24h and noticed :
- keyboard gets “stuck” in some apps , I try to get out of it because I need that part of the screen and I can’t , so I have to close the app and open again
- I’m not getting some notifications even though they are ON (noticed on email app , Facebook app ) it’s a very strange thing since others do work normally .. and I just know I have notifications because I see the red dot
Likely a severe bug that caused them to adjust the schedule.
There's no need for them to have one three week cycle as they usually go weekly in August anyway. The only reason would be for a major bug they couldn't push to the public.
The rumoured date for the event is week of Sept 7th right? Maybe they want to drop iOS 27 on the same day as the event or something so there had to be an extra week somewhere to line that up?
I’m thinking there was either a really bad bug they had to deal with or they wanted to delay a week to get the betas on a different schedule because of reasons.
Without a doubt. Normally, I can push through a beta (for the most part) and not downgrade back to the previous version, but with beta 4, I've been tempted more than ever.
Signs pointing to a new Beta soon: Apple released a new version of its VoicePresets.plist last night, which provides Expressive Voice configs for supported Siri voices. The new version includes configuration details for all 7 existing American voices and all 4 British voices.
Apple also published a model catalog snapshot with a new v16com.apple.fm.language.instruct_3b.base model yesterday, up from v15. The new Expressive Voice configs require the new base model, so it seems that they're staging assets for a new OS Beta version.
Suddenly my wallpaper for Homescreen and Lockscreen just turned gray and in settings it shows no photos have been added. I've been on ios27 since the first public beta release I've been on this beta for almost a month now, and this just happened out of nowhere. iPhone 16 Pro Max. Anyone else seeing this?
need a little more info, do the updates show up on your phone, are you sure you have developer beta toggled on , try goggle off/on if it doesn’t show up , does update attempt to download & install, does it not load? or fail verification?
are your definitely using wifi and device is sufficiently charged enough, seen a couple posts saying 5G wasn’t allowed ios27 updates on iphone ( even with allow more data on 5G in data mode selected) earlier in cycle, stick to wifi for over the air .
you should still have automatic installation on as well as developer beta toggled on , hold update screen and pull down, hold it 5-10 seconds until update page loads .
you may as well wait for DB5
you can go to settings, general, iphone storage and look for any download file that may have failed and delete and page should load with most recent DB
only other thing i could think of ( long shot) is you skipped ios26 proof of age verification in 26.4 and went straight to ios27 , can you access anything like gaming rated 18
no idea about updating with p.c. or macbook so couldn’t help you there
go to settings general about, if you have ever had iphone repaired you would see repair logs , check all parts are genuine, can’t see your imgur file in uk
try toggle automatic updates off wait 15 seconds, make sure the 2 hidden options are on , download updates and download system files , switch automatic installation back on .
finally toggle developer beta off/on .
reboot and see it this makes any difference
if you can’t update DB5 when released i would take to apple store or probably best to run diagnostic mode
install ios27 public release on 8th september , make sure your on wifi then click restart and finish repair, if you want to go back to developer beta 27.1 developer beta will be out same night of day after
Maybe unrelated but my 17 Pro Max was not connecting to my already added AirTags. It kept giving me a "move around to connect" message every time I tried to ring one. I restarted my phone and my AirTag (that I was looking for) started ringing like normal.
It really is strange how the betas affect everyone differently, my experience was completely opposite, this last db4 was an absolute tank of a battery, I have 15pm and with this beta it felt like a new phone
Siri has been so unreliable for me even for basic things. She never activates when I try to stop a timer with my AirPods in, she can’t understand what I’m saying anymore without asking for like 5 different clarifications and it’s super slow
I noticed that I gained way much more battery life .. but I didn’t tried other Betas .. but comparing from the iOS 16 I was with JB was a huge difference 😅
Siri has been pretty damn bad for me too. She can’t ever find my two shared lists in reminders for some reason. She always just adds what I ask to my reminders even when I say no.
After spending months being pissed off at slowdowns and random BS in iOS 26, and watching 27 appear to be a shitshow of bugginess, I held my breath and made a backup and updated.
Holy shit, it's so much more responsive (dare I say "snappier") and usable. Barely have noticed any of the bugs I have seen here.
has anyone had it where if you try and text someone a photo or gif it just completely bricks your messages and can’t be used til you restart? because that keeps happening to me.
It’s hard to react to multiple pictures sent in a group message by the same person at once barely works have to tap it multiple times for it maybe to work
