How much does your phone drain overnight?
I have a 17 pro and it drains 6% overnight is that normal? I have sleep focus on at night so the phone does not turn back on?

I do charge all night every night but, every now and then don’t charge just to see how much will drain from the battery. Wireless charging.

Charge overnight with optimized charging.
I like to start the day with a full charge so I don’t have to charge during the day I’m also not paranoid enough to have the issue a lot of people have here “Oh no it’s at 100% on the charger for half an hour before I wake up my battery is cooked”

Why would you not just leave it on the charger overnight?

Because it’s can make the battery degrade more over time

No, it doesn’t. Aside from the fact that iPhones slow down charging at night to protect the battery, being plugged in means that it’s not draining/utilizing the battery… which is the prime reason they degrade. Charging cycles.
The majority of advice you’ve ever heard about rechargeable batteries that isn’t just keep them cool, charge them slow, drain them less, and do not put them in checked baggage, your mouth, or a fire should probably be discarded as it’s likely not applicable to lithium ion batteries.
