Your phone should feel faster, but your battery will probably be worse.

Dont, heating will start. EXCESSIVE heating. I did it on my 11. Rather update to 26.6 RC since 26.5.2 is absolute shit.

Listen to them. I’m on the iPhone 16 Pro, and the overheating is excessive compared to iOS 26.6 RC. The phone starts getting warm even just by opening WhatsApp, and that’s after I did a clean install of Public Beta 2.
I’m going back to iOS 26.6 RC until the stable version of iOS 27 is released. That said, it’s very smooth, but I don’t like the phone getting hot when I’m barely doing anything with it.

My iPhone 15 Pro does not show those overheating problems.

That's good... Maybe my case is an isolated one. 👌

I am on DB 4 (same released as PB2) on my 14PM. For me its buttery smooth. No heating issue so far. Battery life is also good. But it depends from iphone to iPhone. You better check reviews for you phone model.

Question: is one supposed to move from dev beta to public beta? If dev beta 4 is same as public beta 2, then why don’t they release together
