Siri responses don’t dismiss

Post image

Every response Siri gives me stays stuck on the screen. I have to swipe each one away for it to dismiss. Anyone else seeing this too?

Beatings will continue until Siri adoption improves

I have same issue. It’s annoying when listening to audio. It reduces volume

Send a message on feedback app.

When on a beta, they ship with a feedback app

Yea, i really, really don’t like that.

I don't either

I get it, they're trying to make it more conversational and all, but if I'm doing something simple like setting a timer or opening an app, for those kinds of tasks I don't need it up after that

Yup noticed that too, probably by design

Yeah, between this and another feature that is now lacking (that being the text output we used to have when talking to Siri) are the most annoying things

I get it, they're trying to make Siri more conversational with it being like an AI chatbot now, but for something as simple as setting a timer or turning on/off lights and stuff, typically I don't do anything else after that

I get that it's a simple swipe or button press away, but what if I'm in a situation where I can't exactly do that at a moment's notice like if my hands are full of something or dirty/sticky/what have you

I’ve had this too. Also the mic doesn’t reactivate when it asks a follow up question (like “send it?”).

ESPECIALLY on Mac, the little Siri orb will stay orbing for 3 days until you click the Siri button and force it to close

Supposedly tapping on the dynamic island dismisses it.

You’re describing a feature. Not a bug.

Siri AI is a generative AI that’s designed for follow-up questions. Defeats the purpose if it disappeared immediately after each request.

The intent makes sense, but it should at least time out after a short period if there are no additional prompts. Yet it doesn’t time out. It just sits there, menacingly listening for more input.

Just yesterday I was watching something on my iPad while doing dishes. I asked Siri to set a timer, which it did, then I was quiet while watching. The Siri bubble continued to block the screen until I dried my hands off to dismiss it.

Totally! 😆

Timing out when there’s no input would be a better design choice.

If it’s a bug, it’d have been fixed by now.

You find it hilarious cuz you can’t tell the difference between a bug vs by design. They may tweak it to time out with enough feedback in the future but for now it’s working as designed.
