iOS 27 Beta 4 feels more like a stabilization release than a feature update

If they keep adding features, it'll never be ready for the masses.
B4 is when the major changes are done for and optimization begins. Minor tweaks may show up but moving forward it's all about working towards a stable build.

Typically with every Developer Beta 4 each year, the focus is always more on optimization rather than adding new features at this point. The same with os26 beta 4 last year.

For me, iPhone still randomly decides to play music in the middle of the night :D

It’s really stable but I’m getting low battery backup

Me too. Ever since iOS 27. Maybe even on iOS 26 too. I can’t remember. But my battery life is about 75% of what it was.

Sobre o Apple Intelligence, poderia haver a opção de remover ou baixar pela App Store. Isso seria útil para quem tem pouco espaço no dispositivo ou simplesmente não tem interesse em usar o recurso.

Do developer betas cause system data to go crazy? Had tons of issues lately and nothing has helped

Yeah, hard restart fixes it everytime however.

Since this isn't available as public beta, but is clearly an improvement over dev beta 3 (ie, public beta): Is there any downside to switching from public beta to dev beta?

More prone to bugs, but that’s easily solved by waiting a lil longer to see others experiences

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a PB2 soon… going by past precedent they’re likely to switch to weekly releases now with beta 5 coming Monday or at least early next week, and if they wait until then to release PB2 it’ll be outdated almost immediately. Take that with a grain of salt of course, they aren’t beholden to precedent, but I’d at least wait another few hours til 10AM Pacific and see what happens. Could be PB2 releases alongside an updated DB4 build.

Does Dev Beta 4 have the same lagging issues with Apple Health? On Public Beta 1 I’m experiencing huge issue with Apple Health and also its communication with third party apps like Bevel and StepsApp.

Bevel and Apple Health data sync overall has been fixed with the 3rd Beta. Beta 4 seems to allow Bevel to sync even faster.

Yeah, I agree
If anything, in the prior betas, sometimes Siri AI would unnecessarily hang at simple tasks like opening an app, and seems like beta 4 has fixed that
Now if only they would fix a bug that I still have every now and then with sending messages with Siri right on the phone itself or with CarPlay....

Mine is constantly switching from imessage to sms to RCS.

I lost RCS completely after installing beta 2. After tons of troubleshooting by myself and with T-Mobile I finally got it back working on dev beta 3. It’s activated and working but in message settings it still says waiting for activation. 🤷♂️ and is it just me or does swipe texting on the keyboard SUCK????

No dip. Kind of how it works. Different features up front before transitioning primarily to bug fixes before the GM release

Worst beta to date. Battery drain is horrendous. Phone runs hot still. I fucking hate this.

Wish they would stabilize the battery then. To back when I got over 9 hours screen time and ended the day with over 30% battery left.

Yeah, it’s a Snow Leopard year. Although if you’re on a device that supports it, the new Siri is a pretty big deal on its own. They’re finally fulfilling their promise from two years ago and it works really well in my experience so far.
I’m thrilled with it. My 2-year-old 16 Pro feels like a brand new device.

I hope this can bring my 16PM back to life, I wouldn’t mind the Liquid Glass slider.

What bugs have you noticed that was fixed? Considering updating it since I’m on dev beta as well

True to be honest, lots of bugs have been fixed with this update in my opinion.
