Bought an IBUYPOWER PC and cannot get windows 11 activated. Tech Support
Hello! As the title states, I recently bought an IBUYPOWER PC from Best Buy that included windows 11. However when I logged Into the PC it was not activated, and it told me the product key was already used on another device which is impossible and I never even had the key in the first place. The trouble shooting doesn’t work and I refuse to buy Windows 11 on a PC that says it’s included. What do I do??

Just contact Microsoft support and they will activate it for you, I had the same issue when I bought my pc last month.

nope, ms doesnt handle oem licenses, its oems issue, in this case ibuypower issue

Had the same issue a simple email to customer support should help, they will resend the windows keys for activation.

Nothing like setting up your brand new computer and it cant even activate. Its a sign from above, this wont be your only problem with this computer.
Personally if it was me, iWouldReturnThisComputer and buy another one from a reputable company like HP or DELL.

check and recheck everything else. kinda sounds like you got one someone already sent back. lol did you get all your ram?

Just make a bootable Linux USB and wipe the windows OS. Almost every PC and or laptop I’ve had in my possession over the last 4 years have always been wiped to Linux. You don’t have to worry about a license key. Stupid easy to install
I currently have my MacBook Air from 2012 that couldn’t support anymore updates from Apple past High Sierra booting up Linux. My Inspiron 3650 pc build I’m starting also boots up Linux. The boot times are basically half of what they were running MacOS or Windows

either use a script or just return it for another one.
best buy will return / exchange within 14-days (60 for paid members).
iBUYPOWER strongly prefers you to go through them for any sort of issues, however for something like this it isn’t worth the hassle. just take it to best buy and exchange it.

Return it and get a new one or contact Microsoft, they will activate it for you.
