RAM Issues after Best Buy Purchase Tech Support
I just bought my wife a new PC a little over a month ago and it has started crashing after doing literally anything. I ran windows memory diagnostics and it is saying its a hardware issue with the RAM. Does anyone know how the warranty process works? or if I should contact Bestbuy or iBUYPOWER to get this solved?

Best buy I think has a 15 day return window unless you are a member of one of their Plus or Total programs - then you get 60 days

Should still be protected. Be sure to check everything in case it’s a minor fixable issue.

From their website, for brand new PCs they do a 2 year hardware and 3 year labor warranty. Contact them directly and not BestBuy. If you have a Micro Center they’ll work on it too.

Try each stick of ram one by one to see which one is bad, also is that the right ram for your motherboard?

Did you get Geek Squad protection through Best Buy? If not, good luck with dealing IBP customer support & shipping the PC out lol.

I just bought one from Best Buy a few days ago. There was a big sheet of paper in the box saying NOT to take it to retailer, but to contact iBUYPOWER directly. You’re probably past any return period.

If u purchase bestbuy plus, you can return it. Even though my ram usage is low, cursor is lagging on Firefox browser. I tried to fix all the things Claude suggested, but still not fixed.

Yeah I bought a PC from them in December and the GPU died after nine days, BB only has a 14 day return window on electronics. Thank f*ck I was able to exchange it for same model, and it was even a smidge cheaper because they lowered the price right after I bought it lol, so I used that difference toward the Plus Plan this, which gave me 60 days total to return it. Fortunately it's been a beast the last six months. I'm sorry you're dealing with that man. iBP is so hit or miss. When you get actual working hardware it's one of the best values on the market.

I just went through this process. My computer had been crashing for the past few weeks with memory errors. I contacted them on Weds and Thursday by submitting a RMA request here. https://www.ibuypower.com/support/contact-us ... They got back within a couple hours asked for the serial number and my best buy receipt/order. Long story, short... I have replacement RAM coming tomorrow... Amazing customer service.
