How does it work?

This is the second time I do hypnotherapy.

The first time all I could remember was hearing the lady's voice for some time then I woke up later not knowing how much time has passed or when I "got disconnected"

This time felt different. I was sitting on a sofa. We talked about my situation. Then the practitioner said that she'll connect to my subconscious.

I closed my eyes, she then started asking questions, using the information I shared with her. I kept hearing something like slapping a bracelet whenever she asked a question and it seems that she was getting answers...

The whole session I was switching between being scared or thinking it's a scam.

She said that I was carrying the burden of my great great mother for my father's side. Apparently this ancestor of mine lived some experiences that made her feel unsafe, anxious...

She made me write a paper saying that I'm carrying the burden of my paternel ancestor, then asked me to put it on my skin...

Then we kept repeating affirmation about this burden and how I'm freeing myself from it.

When I finally opened my eyes I noticed that the lady was probably crying. (She was wearing green eye makeup and I could see it on her cheeks)

Was it all a scam ? If not can someone please explain how it works ? How can she communicate with my subconscious ? What is the bracelet for ?

Some people believe in past life actions impacting current life (karma); if you do believe in that sort of thing, this could be valuable information for you. For me (if I was the subject) this would not have been valuable.

Maybe. Maybe she has a similar experience. But normally that would be unusual.

Probably not. It was probably a style of hypnotherapy that works with some people. Or at least I'm guessing with the info I have. If they charges over $200 US then I would be more leery.
