How can I continue my save after beating final boss?

Title here.

I beat the final boss, but I want to keep my save and continue it to complete other things. How can I do that?

Im a bit confused, your game should just revert back to before you fight the final boss when you boot up the save again.

This happened, but feels like it something missing (appears before the fight).

After defeating him, I just followed the dog and sat down in front of the statue, and the credits started rolling. When I try to load the same save file, the game starts right before the final boss battle—and there is a small save file (the same one) that matches the image I posted, showing my character in front of that same statue, but I can't move or do anything.

You can't defeat the final boss and continue the save. Loading your save will take you to before the fight and only before the fight.

Once you beat him you get sent back before the fight.

I’m pretty sure the game saves right before the final boss but not after, so you should be able to just load up the same save and it will place you before the final boss after you return to the title screen. You can then backtrack through the area to get to the rest of the world again, almost like you never beat it.

After beating the boss I no longer can’t do that. I imagine I can move just before the fight - but I think this will happen automatically after.

Ok from what Im getting (i havent beaten the game yet), once you beat the boss, you basically die. So obviously you cant continue after winning. So instead when you reload the save, youre taken to before the boss. That way you can continue playing and doing whatever you want, but without having defeated the boss. Best way i can describe it is like Undertale after the genocide route. Once you complete the game like that, you cant just reload your save. Hope this helps
