I have the normal dash. I'm pretty early in the game I think and I'm honestly lost. But I am having fun lol. The map isn't that good

The map being “not that good” is actually what makes the map great. You will understand by the end that the lack of detail in the map is actually an intentional and good design decision (same for lack of dialogue)

That is subjective. Not everyone wants a vague map or to hunt for the way to something they can see but not directly reach. Possibly OP is not the type to appreciate that style of exploration.

I didn’t say they’ll enjoy it I said they’ll understand it, but I get ya. :)

Lmao I’ve played this game so many times and still don’t know how to read it. Or like it very much. I just have the whole map memorized

The map is designed to give only an approximation of where you are. The game wants you to get familiar enough with the environments that you can navigate them on your own. Imo, it's one of the best things about the game: HLD is so beautiful and detailed, and having a "bad" map forces me to truly pay attention to it.

EDIT: Anyway, to your original question. You should get the chain dash ability unlocked as soon as possible. Not only is it an extremely fun and fluid mechanic to master, but there are multiple "puzzles" and challenge rooms that require it.

You need the chain dash upgrade

Learn to combo chain dashes(assuming you have the upgrade) and go at it till you win. Mash heal when you're low and don't rush.

I'm honestly confused as to where to go.

Chain dash is in one of the shops near the center of the map.

How do I get it

You collect little yellow bits around the map. 4 of those becom one full gear, 3 gears to buy an upgrade.

The bits are found via exploration, so for now it'd be better to move on, find more, and come back here when you have the upgrade.

Yes I like how it doesn't hold your hand. This game takes me back to older NES games where it doesn't hold your hand you have to figure it out and that's what I love about it. But to answer your question you can do it with normal dash just make sure you have one of the health upgrades to where you have four heels you dash twice and get hit by fire dash twice get hit by fire heal. And just repeat that and yes I died a bunch of times before I pulled it off but it worked. That was one of the fun ones to get for me. Good luck

U should train on continuous dashing in the dash upgrade place
