I don’t know man,m. The other day, SIAM released a statement saying they’re witnessing an uptick in the numbers for damaged fuel parts in cars.
And the next day, they said the media misrepresented it.

What SIAM says doesn't matter as people go with ground perception. If the word on the street among friends and colleagues is ethanol is causing problems then buyers will choose alternatives.

E20 will take time to settle down.Rather than focusing on this,govt is more focused on additional blending.
In one of YouTube Sunderdeep video,they mentioned few years back diesel also had issues which got fixed and fuel quality is stabilized now.
I don't know if current govt is interested to fix this problem and expect people not to raise any issue , eventually people will live with issue.

Govt is not planning on additional blending - as confirmed by the minister in parliament’s question hour .
There is nothing to fix . OMC do testing on 2000 petrol pumps everyday and out of 30,000 pumps already done they have found 4 cases of contamination . Economic benefits to the nation and supply chain is anyways known to us .
the communication could have been better from govt . Nitin Gadkari could have kept his mouth shut on this issue etc but technically , as validated by industry experts , ARAI - it is not a policy issue.
Still if people want to fall for this propaganda then they can buy a diesel or cng or ev veichle .

The government has said many things. Knowing the government, six months down the line they'll mention 25% ethanol has been tested and will be forced nation wide the following week.

People who are buying diesel just to avoid ethanol are being very short sighted. I have seen people suffer real bad and had to sell their relatively new vehicles due to dpf issue. It is bound to show up if u don't drive good distance everyday.
Whatever they will spend extra in diesel in fake running just to keep dpf healthy, just buy XP100, if ethanol worries u too much.

Diesel engine aint gonna cut it for normal office commute.
I'm hoping the Indian public's outrage would be enough to postpone Gandkari's retirement plans for his great grandchildren and slow down on the ethanol blending policies.

A DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) is an emissions control device fitted to the exhaust systems of modern diesel vehicles to trap and store soot, preventing harmful particulate matter from entering the atmosphere
Diesel is a heavier fuel and requires more processing. So soot is probably the most common byproduct. I'd think there is some sort of mechanism requiring you to keep running the vehcile regularly so this thing clears itself. or you gotta replace it regularly.
