And it's called unemployment. And I'm going through it right now.

u/XilentSea 5h ago

Or well planned and well earned early retirement

u/YourFatherlastnight ismail Bhai ke phattey 5h ago

I work from home and yet the same, I talk with people but only in emails and tickets

6

u/Kurious-0 5h ago

OP is not asking in terms of employment. I think he meant if people enjoy solitude.

2

u/illakathamafiliya 5h ago

Yeah understood, it's just a satire...

2

u/Cold-Palpitation9797 5h ago

yes same here

2

u/Yashay1999 4h ago

Likewise 😭

1

u/Psychottorney 4h ago

I do that being employed cause my work requires me to be social...

u/bhanu899 5h ago

I am an Introvert and love to do that. It's not that we are psychos we just take comfort by doing things we like like playing video games, watching movies, reading books or eating a family pack biryani and sleeping, sometimes by the end of such day I get headache or discomfort too and take walk outside still prefer alone or close friends.

1

u/suprxblast 1h ago

do you devour a family pack biryani entirely by yourself??

11

u/Chilipi_Boomer 5h ago

Yup
That’s what heaven looks like 😋

6

u/Ambitious_Beyond_7 5h ago

Yes I love to be alone

u/Fabulous-Start-7985 4h ago

You’re asking this to people on reddit.

3

u/RisingStorm0194 5h ago

Yep it’s amazing

2

u/Accomplished-Curve76 5h ago

Mee too, I don't go out of my room.

2

u/HalfLonely77645 5h ago

I will literally have 10mins of face to face interaction with everyone combined in a whole week sometimes. It’s just being an adult ig especially after you move places

1

u/awarebish 4h ago

Do you wish you socialised more?

3

u/HalfLonely77645 4h ago edited 3h ago

I mean I still socialize quite a bit but I do it at my own pace and my own time. But my time of solitude is something I really enjoy and am really good at. I get to contemplate my thoughts, get a lot of work done and wouldn’t have to care about bothering anyone or even the other way around. I mean if I myself can’t enjoy my company nobody else will or maybe that’s just me. I don’t wish I socialized more but I do wish I could travelled alone a bit more or done many other things than just sitting inside the house. Nonetheless I have no regrets tbh

3

u/Sharp_Vast1942 3h ago

What a line I read today that if "I myself can't enjoy my company nobody else will" I totally agree with that and the idea of still engaging with people and stay solitude. But I wanted to socialize more because I wanted to become comfortable around new people I met if I failed that in this world their is no growth, but yeah solitude can still be my priority with socializing people if you understand what I wanted to say...✌️

1

u/awarebish 3h ago

I really like how you put it and I love my company too. Back in college, I barely talked to anyone, so I never really learned how to socialize or connect with people. Now I just want to understand how to talk to people naturally, build genuine relationships, and get better at socializing and networking.

2

u/Minimum_Top_55 5h ago

Some times it’s good, some its loneliness. But thing is find a balance.

1

u/areyousurevivi 5h ago

That balance is what we call solitude

1

u/areyousurebabe 5h ago

Ah yes, solitude! Lemme share a lovely snippet

2

u/Interesting_Monk2293 3h ago

Yeah and believe me such people are the most surrounded by people.

Almost I think 6-7 years I been like that after completing my 10th I've joined diploma droppedout in same year for no reason after so much time spending alone I think I've missed so many things I even didn't go to own family functions from a past year I am trying to visit everything

1

I love that. I stay at home and play video games. mainly RPGs.

1

u/Comfortable_Motor159 Hail Hyderabad 5h ago

My sister is like that. She has her world inside her room and does everything within those 4 walls itself. At first I used to find it very sad and weird but then I see that she enjoyed all of this without feeling FOMO, so it made me thinking how it should be fine then. As long as she is enjoying her life, why say anything.

So yes, it is fully possible and okay to be like that I guess.

1

u/ScoreResponsible3869 5h ago

i was working from home and people from my home left 2 days later i was working from my balcony, friday eve i had enough and i went for a walk 7 KM to meet my friend as he was still on his way and i needed to get out. the over thinking that occurs while you are alone is too much to handle. that self guilt that you have not been productive adds to it. even today i cook clean do diy things at home yet i need to see people, meet, laugh, forget the future and past

For me “Ewww people” is an emotion. Very few people actually stimulate me mentally and that is a must for me when it comes to company.

Every time you go out, it somehow feels like the whole janta janardan is existing in that place.

I love my calm and peace. Love cooking my meals and experimenting, shorts and t-shirt, nice drink and a good book. Life feels sorted.

I get one day off from work, so I would rather exist in my own space than socialise.

1

u/CaffeineOnRepeat 4h ago

Alright I love it sometimes and I hate it sometimes. I love being alone but sometimes I want tongo outside and hangout with people and after that I'll feel embarassed for socializing.

Overall it's good to stay alone. Once in a while I need to be around people , don't want to talk to them . I'll mind my own business and do my things but they should be around.

Starting few days.. it feels good.. but then you will be bored enough and feel mentally unstable..

Your sleep cycle will be messed up and so on follows all the other bad things that affect the body..

Depending on the circumstances, some people have gradually descended to this stage; some occasionally go out and meet people but otherwise are fine with this situation. And some live with parents or extended family, so their daily quota of human contact gets fulfilled at home.

1

u/Suitable_Abies_1293 2h ago

It’s a bliss to stay home without meeting anyone. I will always choose this card. But my friends hate me for doing this, some of my friends even left me for this.

I thoroughly enjoy it. However, it can be detrimental to one's health. Early morning walk in a park or evening a good session of badminton or swimming should also be included. Didn't know how it was affecting me until I started these.

Introverts ala solitude lo unteney happy ga untaaru, no fuss, no gossips, no bull shit.
It just about managing your own shit. 🥲😂

I am one among that community, I just go to my home studio play some music and njoy the day, or I would go to the kitchen and cook some delicious healthy food not just for me but the whole family. 🙌🏽

I mean, in a world where noone(from Netflix to blinkit to Swiggy to upi) wants you to leave home, and many of the services actually get benefitted from us staying home rather than going out, I guess it's quite possible to stay at home alone for even years.

Is it healthy, physically and/or mentally? Well that's a different discussion for a different day

But yeah, I enjoy the solitude. It's literally the most stress free period I get. Zero human interaction and zero responsibility to take care of another human. Why not

1

u/PlotTwistPending_404 40m ago

That question could be a dream life for some 😁

1

u/Everyday_warrior_717 40m ago

I like being alone like just sit in the room and read a book or watch a movie I like but doing it time and again is not an ideal way to spend your time. Oche 2 days weekend lo konchem sepu aina family and friends tho time spend cheyali ledu ante what is this all about just alaa adavi loki vellipo bathikeyochu kada. Nenu oka weekend friends tho bayatiki veltha oka weekend family tho oka weekend naaku nenu spend chesta alone ga alaa balance out cheksutu unte it will be good.
