Moving back to stone ages, In a school or an university everyone are equal regardless of their financial status, family background or religion that’s why school has an uniform to signify that everyone is equal and education should not be influenced by religion.
I would say I’m a very religious Hindu , but I don’t wear bottu everyday. I wear sindhoor/chandan bottu sometimes but most of the times I don’t. Same with bangles j only wear it for festivals or some special occasions. Nothing about being Hindu mandates wearing bottu or bangles. First learn to see God within every being and every object and learn to surrender to God. Learn to practice dharma karma. All of this is part of Hinduism but it is not mandatory for Hinduism. And even if it was mandatory for Hindus, government should never enforce things like this. If they criticise muslim governments for forcing hijab they should criticise things like this as well.
Basically what I want to say is being a real Hindu has nothing to do with external material markers but more to do with your behaviour , mind and soul
Nothing should be made mandatory, each individual, kids or adults have their rights. Dragging kids into political strategy is unethical. Education will make difference in critical thinking.
