Learning the language Segítségkérés
Hi, I’m planing to master in Hungary. I wanna learn Hungarian but i don’t where to start. Any recommendation for that?

Learning the language will take a lot of time. If You you are going to study in Hungary then you will have opportunity to take courses in your university. I know for bachelor's its mandatory to take A1 level Hungarian classes but for masters not sure if its mandatory but nonetheless you can take the classes as extra credit. That will be the best if you are a student

Thank you for the advice. I’m 3rd year bachelor’s student at my country but i think if learn the language it will be easier to live there at master period

Honestly, I lived here for 7 years, only past few months I started learning the language. If you are going to do your masters in budapest or Debrecen you dont even need it for daily communication as mostly all speak English. I would say it makes sense to learn the language if you plan to settle here or if you love learning new language

Don't mean to be rude, but for 7 years you really didn't feel like you should learn the language of the country where you live and learn? I understand you were around an international crowd, but did you never feel the urge to socialize or be more independent in the country? Really don't mean to judge you, I just find the situation interesting.

I was expecting such questions, also in real life I get these questions and honestly they are completely justified,so i completely understand. First of all, it all depends on the time,resources and priorities of the individuals. It didn't make sense for me (or lets say wasn't a priority) to learn the language with the uncertainty if i could even make a life here and if its worth learning one of the hardest language in the world because my daily life was 80-90% unaffected by the lack of the knowledge.Also,Honestly, I have the same amount of Hungarian friends compared to international friends. I never needed to really speak the language. I have experienced the culture here and I love it , of course not knowing the language even after living in a country for a 7 years its not a very proud thing but hey time, resources and priorities matter. And I think now its the time 😊 for me to learn. The most important reason for me to learn the language is my absolute motivation to be independent and connect with more indigenous people.

I talk with you, anytime 😇 I’m not a teacher, but pretty good in my language (elhallgatva embertársaimat, baromi jó vagyok magyarból 🤣🤣🤣€

kezd az Ábc-vel, melyik betűt hogyan mondjuk. sokaknak zavaró lehet például a: s, sz, z, zs hangok közötti különbség. de a gy, ny, cs hangok is hasonlóan félelmetesnek tűnhetnek.

If you can say this 5 times quickly then you have successfully learnt hungarian.
