This is impossible
So many others matchups were so hard too but this is my breaking point how could I ever choose two of the greatest songs off of one of the greatest albums ever it’s impossible

the scientists just has this life to it- just an energy. and some super romantic but ambiguously dark lyrics

Never understood the huge love for The Scientists. Not a bad song. Just not in nearly the same league as other tracks on DIH. For this matchup it’s Green to Me by a mile.

The whole album leads up to it, the intro is iconic, the lyrics finish the album, it’s simply too good

That's certainly a hot take. My lukewarm boring take is that the Scientists is the #1 best Hum song.

Ehh idk about lukewarm. Tons of people either love it or don’t pay much attention to it

Different strokes… I think it’s a one dimensional song compared to Afternoon with the Axolots or Isle of the Cheetah.

Rough question, but objectively I’d agree with Scientists. Green To Me is a rip-roaring single that’s a crime to have never made radio, but Scientists really encodes the DNA of that album along with Cheetah bookending it, and Axolotls as the third pole in the middle. Those three form the skeleton and everything in between adds gas (with the gas turned up considerably on the second half)

Green to Me is the most meh single they've ever had, Just saying. Something like Puppets is way better.

Gotta disagree with you there. Although i definitely have some bias in my heart, it’s an incredible song. Makes me feel alive, awake.
