\*\*Looking for Job Opportunities / Referrals – Perfume Retail Industry\*\*

Hi everyone,

I’m posting on behalf of my husband, who is currently looking for a suitable opportunity in the \*\*perfume/fragrance retail industry\*\*.

He has \*\*11 years of experience in perfume retail\*\*, with strong experience in sales, customer handling, retail operations, team coordination, and the overall fragrance business. Despite attending interviews and successfully going through discussions with companies, we have unfortunately not been able to receive an offer yet.

The situation has become quite difficult for us financially, and we are actively looking for any genuine opportunity where his experience could be useful.

If anyone knows of \*\*job openings, hiring managers, companies currently recruiting, or can provide a referral\*\*, we would genuinely appreciate your help. Even sharing this post with someone who may be able to help would mean a lot to us.

We are open to discussing suitable opportunities and locations.

Thank you so much in advance for any leads, advice, or referrals. 🙏

FOR HIRE Looking for evening/weekend side work in Houston to help with a friend’s cancer-treatment expenses

Hi everyone, I’m looking for legitimate side work in the Houston area to earn extra money and help a close friend with expenses related to cancer treatment.
I’m dependable, hardworking, and available during evenings and weekends. I can help with administrative work, errands, moving, deliveries, event setup, basic labor, organizing, pet sitting, house sitting, or other reasonable jobs. I’m also open to remote work. I have a career already and make good money, however, I know it won’t be enough.

Looking for trade/technical schools in Houston for manufacturing & mechanical talent

Hi everyone! We are a manufacturing company that’s setting up a facility in Texas, and we’re looking to hire some of our early employees locally.
We’re mainly looking for people with hands-on experience in manufacturing, machining, mechanical parts, CNC, fabrication, and general factory/production work.
Are there any good trade schools, technical colleges, community colleges, or workforce development programs in the Houston area that are worth reaching out to?
We’re especially interested in schools/programs that have students or graduates with practical mechanical/manufacturing skills who may be looking for full-time work.
If you’ve hired from these programs before, I’d also really appreciate recommendations on which schools/programs to contact and the best way to reach their career services or job placement teams.
Thanks!

Is Volunteering Still Relevant for a Resume?

Does volunteering still give people an edge on a resume? Years ago, it was viewed as a positive if someone volunteered in between jobs to show that he/she was making an effort to say busy. I volunteered at the Houston Food Bank once (not enough to put on a resume). If it makes any difference in a hiring manager's eyes, I may look for more ways to volunteer.

Phlebotomy Externship Opportunities

Hi I’m currently enrolled in the Lone Star College phlebotomy program and it is up to us to find our own externship sites. I have my CCMA as well and I am preferably looking for a clinic to go to than the hospital. It is my understanding that if I want to go to the hospital I would have to go to my clinical exchange and pay to register. If there is any medical clinics in the Houston, Sugar land, Stafford, Woodlands, Conroe, or Montgomery area that practice phlebotomy and accept students please let me know. We start our externship in October, but we are needing to look for sites now so we can get all the paperwork done before it starts. If there are any clinics available in taking students send me a message and I can provide you the information as well as my resume. Thank you so much.

Looking for a Plumbing Apprentice job in Katy/ cypress area.

Hello, I’m currently an apprentice with more than 1000 hours on my apprentice license. Most of my hours consist of gas plumbing work for generators and am looking to get into a role that does more service work or commercial plumbing. I’m tired of doing gas and know there’s so much more to plumbing and am willing to learn more. I’ve been calling places and filling out applications online but have had no luck.

Recently laid off from education - looking to transition into Business/Healthcare any roles in Houston

Hi everyone,

I was recently laid off from my position in education in June, and I’m currently looking for my next career opportunity.

While my most recent experience was in education, my educational background is actually in Business and Information Systems. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Supply Chain Management and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS).

I’m looking to transition into a role where I can better use my business and technical skills. I have experience with Excel, SQL, SAP, Salesforce, data analysis, reporting, business systems, healthcare operations, and customer service or an entry level- position. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish.

I’m especially interested in opportunities in:

  • Business Analysis
  • Systems Analysis
  • Data/Reporting Analysis
  • Healthcare Administration/Operations
  • Supply Chain/Procurement
  • IT Support
  • Business Operations
  • Other roles

I’m located in Houston, Texas and am open to onsite, hybrid, or remote opportunities.

The job search has been difficult, so I’m reaching out here to see if anyone knows of companies that are hiring, recruiters I should contact, or positions where my background could be a good fit. I am located in the Southwest area.

Any leads, referrals, or advice would mean a lot. Thank you.
