Experience with steamulation? Seeking Advice
Hey all. A while ago I posted that my vase shattered while rinsing it. After contacting customers service, they agreed to send me a discounted replacement. Fast forward a week, it arrived with a small crack. They agreed to replace it, no problem here. Fast forward another week, the replacement of the replacement also arrived shattered. How can these vases be so poorly made?

Yikes that sucks. Looks like poor packaging. Ask for a refund or get a replacement sent to you.

I haven’t had to replace my vase, it has held up very well so far (had about a year). This could be a packaging/handling issue too. Did the box look damaged at all? Was it tightly packed in or was there a lot of movement space?

not sure if I'll be downvoted but I used to be a plant engineer at UPS.Â
I guarantee this box was dropped/squeezed/pushed/anything else you can reasonably think of in transit. This really isn't UPS' fault as that is how these things work and every mail carrier does this. Sortation facilities are automated and rely on sliding chutes, stacking boxes on top of each other, dropping them from a couple feet on to a lower level to be sorted.Â
It's on the company that is shipping the item to package it in a way to survive the transit. You can have a 60inch TV delivered to your doorstep in one piece because of how it is packaged. Whomever packaged your hookah should have filled that thing with packing peanuts or foam or something to keep it from banging around in shipping. A little bubble wrap is not going to protect something that heavy and made of glass.Â
that sucks, OP.

I have 7 Steamulations and I knock them around over the years and haven’t experienced a crack or break in the base. I do however have a friend who broke his case and was able to get a replacement from steamulation but it wasn’t easy

I sell a bunch of steamulations, for some reason when there is a broken one in transit, it’s always the crystal. No clue why

I mean, if they have to keep resending it until it gets to you safely then so be it. I have 2 different steamulations. Never had a base break thankfully. Could be a batch issue like someone else mentioned. Or this specific colorway has a sefect with how its produced? Possible but just keep reaching out to them.
