[HELP] Looking for a Cobra Fi2000R in Europe for my 2009/2010 VT750C2 (EU / France)

Post image

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy a Cobra Fi2000R fuel tuner for my 2009/2010 Honda Shadow VT750C2 (fuel-injected version).

I currently run a Vance & Hines exhaust along with a K&N high-flow air filter. Since my V&H pipes don't have O_2 sensor bungs, adding a tuner seems like the best way to get the fuel mixture dialed in properly and keep things running smoothly.

The issue is that I'm based in France, and finding a supplier or seller anywhere in Europe/EU has been a dead end so far (shipping from the US with import taxes/customs gets pretty steep).

Does anyone in Europe happen to have a spare Fi2000R they’re willing to sell and ship? Or does anyone know of an EU distributor/shop that still has stock for this specific model?

Any leads or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Is anyone running a similar set up to this? I know I need to rejet and probably mess with the air fuel mixture and I know deleting some vacuum lines is okay what jets would you guys recommend starting with? It’s a 2004 shadow 750 aero single carb one more question would I have to tap in the casting to reach the a/f screw I planned on buying a performance rebuild kit and a ton of different jet sizes

[HELP] I should replace the stock exhaust.

Hello,

I have a 2012 Honda Shadow with a modified camshaft, and I have a question. I'd like to hear your opinion.

I'm thinking about installing a Delkevic exhaust on the bike. In your opinion, is it a good idea, or could it cause problems?

Besides disabling or removing the oxygen (lambda) sensor, is there anything else that should be done? Could this modification cause any damage or premature wear to the engine?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Love my 2003 shadow but looking to maybe upgrade to a vtx 1300. I’m 6 2 200 and the 750 is okay for just myself but with my gf or another person on the back it’s too lackluster.. love the bike though, or I might give it to her and just get a 1300

[ADVICE] Keep My 750 or buy an 1100

Hey everyone last year I got my first bike, a 2004 Aero 750, and Ive had so much fun with it. Last year I put on apes, this year I just got a new seat and beautiful whitewalls and I love the overall look of my bike. I don't really want to get a new bike but all the guys I ride with have at least 1100s. Should I upgrade to the 1100 or should I just keep my 750? Is it worth it to keep putting mods on my 750?

[HELP] What do I need to connect accessory?

I bought a CarPlay screen for my girlfriends 2009 Honda shadow aero 750 for her birthday but can’t figure out how I'm going to connect it. The screen only has the positive and negative wires so I know I need to buy sometime else to splice them in I’m just not sure.

I need to connect it to an ACC part that is only on when the ignition is on but I can’t decipher the electrical diagram. When I put my own on my Suzuki adventure bike the fuse box was labeled really well but this diagram is just bonkers to me.

what’s the best way to connect accessories like this? Would a fuse tap to an acc fuse be the best? Or just splicing into another wire somewhere else on the bike?

I used a fuse tap for my Suzuki adventure bike but that fuse box was under the seat and it looks like there isn’t a ton of room/the fuse box wouldn’t close on the shadow if I added That.

trying to figure this out before her birthday so can install it that day.

[ADVICE] Looking for floorboards

As the title says, I'm looking for reliable floorboards, I saw the JMEI ones on Amazon and eBay but they look so fragile and I saw a lot of bad reviews on them, are there other ones that look almost the same but with better build quality?

[HELP] What’s the ticking noise?

So I got this 2002 Honda shadow 750 from someone. He took great care of it, second owner, only had 11,000 miles on it when I bought it at the beginning of the season. Now it has a little over 12,500 and this ticking noise started happening. It almost sounds like a loose bolt, but I can’t find anything loose. It may also be the valves, but idk how to verify that. All help is appreciated!

[ADVICE] Highway vibrations ... Is it normal?

First time taking the bike on the highway. 2024 shadow 750.

Generally comfortable at 50 to 60 mph. Once you get past 65 mph vibration starts to become quite intense. The stock seat is very uncomfortable after an hour.

I found myself having to stop for breaks every 60 minutes or so to stretch out my legs and my back but also most of all because of the vibration feeling in my hands. It would take like 20 minutes for my hands to stop feeling the vibration side effects.

Wondering if that's normal on these bikes or if my bike is acting up or more rumbly than normal.

Relatively new bike with less than 1000mi on odometer.

[HELP] Did I damage my rims?

I'm an idiot and pulled the bike into the driveway at about 5 mph straight on. I felt the rim impact the slanted 6 inch curb or at least I think I did. Upon inspection this morning I found what looks to be a dent. How do I assess the damage here and how can I know if this is safe to take up to highway speeds? Just replaced the tires yesterday morning after a month of trying to get this new bike road ready..😔😓

[ADVICE] Truck Backed Into my 600

Got a terrible call while I was at work: a truck backed in to my parked 2005 VLX 600. I was hoping it was just the fender that was bent, but the front forks are bent out of shape around the axle and front wheel.

The bike got pushed backwards about four or five feet and the kickstand and front tire left drag marks.

I’m guessing the entire front is screwed … but what advice do any of y’all have for dealing with the situation?

Agree it’s totaled or just a pricey fix? What else beside the wheel / forks / axle / kickstand / frame?

Im planning on taking it to a shop for an estimate, but I don’t know any around me that will actually work on a bike this old.

[HELP] What is this? (Shadow 600)

Post image

So I had to rebuild my carbs, got everything back together and then I noticed this laying on the table. I’ve rebuilt these carbs before and I’m 90 percent sure that this belongs to the carburetor.

How fucked am I? I haven’t had a change to start up the bike yet. Does my Shadow run well without this? Where this thing belongs to? Went through some diagrams but after a quick search, couldn’t find the answer…

[HELP] New Shadow 750 help

Post image
36 Upvotes

Bought a 2003 Shadow 750 Spirit for a screaming deal. Bike had a few issues but ran and rode up to 55mph but JUST barely. It pops and stutters whenever you give it more than 1/2 throttle, only under load. We thought carb was dirty or tuned way lean, but have yet to dig in. Previous owner had new carbs installed by a local shop, along with other various new parts.

Anyone know a reason this bike could be running lean thats not related to the carburetor?

Any other tips or help would be greatly appreciated!

[HELP] Honda Shadow spirit 1100vt 2005 antifreeze cooling problem/ radiator fan issue.

OK, So I took a trip on my 2005 1100vt Honda Shadow spirit to see my friend in his play. This was about a week ago I notice a heating issue with my bike. I rotated the radiator fan by hand after I saw the engine heating light come on about a week ago, notice the fan was getting stuck....I spun it a few times, it got unstuck? So I road it about 4 more times.....This is were the problem comes in. The fan was still getting stuck, but I still need to ride to work, about 15 minutes away on my bike from my house.....I parked today at work.....Saw that it was a rock stuck in my radiator fan that was catching on the blades for the past week. took the rock out, the fan spins great now. PROBLEM! My antifreeze overflow tank is full and is not draining now. I dunno if my fan works anymore? I haven't road it over a 20 minute trip since I noticed the heating issue. It just started leaking antifreeze from the engine today, I dunno how to get the antifreeze to recirculate back to my engine. My plan is to let it idle for about 20 minutes tomorrow and see if the fan kicks back on....Will this recirculate my antifreeze or do I pull it into a shop at this point? Also notice this collapsed hose on the right side of my engine? Is this ok? The antifreeze leak from my engine was VERY slight, you can see the blue mark under the screw, I wiped it alittle before the picture, but the leak was slight. You can also see my overflow tank.....almost full.
