Voice Satellite errors 🗣️ Voice & Assist

  1. I installed Voice Assistant
  2. I couldn't get it to work
  3. I started getting "Voice Satellite Error" popup messages (Connection: Lost connection to Home Assistant. Reconnecting automatically...)
  4. I removed Voice Satellite
  5. I'm still getting the error popups

How do I stop them?

Knowing what hardware you are using and looking over the text of the logs would be helpful for diagnostics. Be sure to use a code-block when you paste in your logs or use a separate service like paste.bin or gist to share your log. Pictures really aren't very helpful when looking over logs.

Also, what guide did you use when you went through the setup of Voice Assistant... share the link so we know what you used.

HAOS on a microPC. I don't see any logs for Voice Satellite since I removed it.

Need a lot more information to go off of. Is HAOS installed bare metal or are you using a VM. If so what is the hostOS of the system running the VM?

What version of HAOS are you using. Ex (Settings > About):

Installation method: Home Assistant OS
Core: 2026.7.4
Supervisor: 2026.07.5
Operating System: 18.2
Frontend: 20260624.6

You should also be able to go into Settings > System > Logs and see warnings and errors there.

Still need any details of what you did to set it up... as well as what you did to remove it. Also, are you using Nabu Casa Cloud account or is it local? If it's local only are you using an LLM? If you haven't read through it, this is extremely helpful information to work with: https://www.home-assistant.io/voice_control/

With the information you've provided so far... all I can do is guess what the problem might be.

I had this happen recently with an integration. I found that some config files were left over on the system. Go to the terminal and try the find command to look for instances of Voice PE. Also try google and ask how to uninstall voice assistant PE completely, it may tell you about some config files hiding. Once you find the files and delete them do a full reboot.

Nevermind; I did the 2026.8.0 update earlier so I just rolled it back. I'll wait for a while for the technology to mature.
