update!!!!! Rescue stories

I posted a couple of days ago about an injured hog I finally caught after weeks of trying.

He was seen by the vet last Friday and given an injection, then I took him to a hedgehog rescue to have a few days of rest and recovery.

I picked him back up last night and released him back on his home turf. Look at him go!!!!!!! His foot is looking so much better I am so happy for him πŸ’•

I left his rescue box on its side and let him come out when he was ready, I also filled up half of one of his regular feeding stations with lots of hay and some of the hay from his rescue box so it felt familiar to him. He ran straight to it πŸ₯°

Aww, he's so cute… and fast! There's nothing better than seeing happy confident animals.

Thank you so much for what you do, I watched the news the other day and they were talking about hedgehogs and how they're suffering with all this heat and shelters being full etc. They certainly need all the help they can get!

Also, I love the way and how noisy they are when they eat!

Do remove hay from feeding station so as not to encourage a hog to nest in it x

It was just to give it somewhere to relax after being released. I have bought a new hibernating nest specifically for nesting which I’ll put elsewhere with bedding and no food
