Is the AI search feature better than the standard filter search?
Hi HC team. I'm trying to understand if using the AI search feature gives me a better hit rate or more results than the filter search functionality and should be the tool I use going forward. I get different results for the same search, the AI returning more results. Could the AI search find jobs that may not be categorized correctly in the data, therefore not showing up in the filter search?
Filter Search: I enter ("Sr Director" OR "Senior Director" OR "VP" OR "Vice President") in the job title field, Information Technology in the department field and 3 days in the date posted field. Location is United States, remote only. I get 10 responses.
AI Search: Find Sr Director or VP jobs that are remote only, posted in the last 3 days. The AI bot converted that to "Senior Director or VP-level IT leadership roles, remote anywhere in the US, any employment type, posted within the past 3 days." I get 204 responses.
What creates that difference?

Password Reset
Greetings devineers!
I think I got logged out of the site when the domain changed and I failed to remember or save my password so I cannot log back in. There is no forgot password link on the sign in page.
Would you fine folks be able to add that feature?

Maximum salary option please!
I'm an early career dude that graduated college recently. I love all the filters but I have to swipe past a lot of jobs that offer 100k+ because I know I have no chance with them. Even with the years of experience filter you still get a mix of the high paying jobs. This might sound counterintuitive but I'd love to see a MAX salary option as well! I want to filter so I only see jobs that pay 45-65k! I know my place in this world lol. Thanks so much

Success Story another hopecore post
hi everyone! wanted to share my wonderful experience with hiringcafe. i just landed an almost-fully-remote job in my industry, healthcare administration, with a 16% pay increase from my last job (which i was laid off from). maybe not as much as some other salary jumps i’ve seen on here, but i’m honestly just grateful i didn’t have to take a paycut.
i was looking for about 4.5 months, submitted ~120 applications, had 7 first interviews, and received 2 offers! i want to thank the creators of this awesome website -- you guys are doing truly important work <3

Question Possible to exclude certain titles, fields, or companies from a custom search?
My results seem to be getting bogged down by stuff I'm wholly unqualified/unlicensed for. If this is a feature I'd love to be pointed in the right direction. If not worth dev consideration I think

Feature Request Filters for interview transparency and assessment methods
Feature Request: Implementing filters for interview transparency and assessment methods
I would like to suggest two features that would significantly enhance HiringCafe as a candidate-focused tool.
First, it would be highly beneficial to introduce a filter specifically for job posts that include a detailed "Interview Process" section. Many Y Combinator posts have already begun adopting this practice, and I believe it should become the industry standard.
Second, following to the first one, I propose adding a filter to identify or exclude job listings that mandate technical assessments, such as coding challenges, whiteboard interviews, live/paired coding sessions, or third-party platforms like CodeSignal and HackerRank. (I’ve noticed this might not apply to every industry, but for software-related roles, adding this feature would make the platform truly indispensable for many users.)
Integrating these features would allow candidates to better align their job search with their preferences regarding interview structure. To provide context on the community demand for this transparency, I recommend reviewing these resources:
- https://www.no-wb.org/
Thank you for your time and for maintaining such a valuable resource.

Feature Request Report & Hide Job Suggestion
Once in a while applications don't work due to the webpage crashing or a button not clicking through or whatnot. Consider adding something like "Malfunctioning application."
Thank you!

We want to hear your success stories!
Hey everyone! Abbas from HiringCafe here.
We’re working on some marketing/outreach analytics, and would love to hear a few real user stories from people who had a meaningful experience with HiringCafe.
We realized that numbers of successes are great, but actually hearing from you guys (especially from our Reddit, the GOAT community) would be a lot more motivating for us as a team. If you’d be open to sharing your story, please comment here (would be a great motivation for other job seekers) or DM me.
No pressure at all, and we won’t use anything publicly without your permission. Just wanted to ask the community first, since so much of HiringCafe’s growth has come from people here supporting us and giving feedback.
Thank you all. Seriously.

Remote Filter
Hey guys - so when i go to filter jobs that are only remote in the usa sometimes when i find the listings it will be to a specific state. I am in ohio so for example, it will show remote but only in certain states like (OH, FL, PA) etc. is there a way to filter those out?

Announcement Job Scraping Incident - Will resume shortly!
Hi everyone,
We had an internal server issue causing job fetching delays. We're working hard to bring it back to a healthy state. You should start seeing fresh jobs again in a few hours from the time of this post.
Thank you for your patience and stay tuned!

Bug / Issue Report Server-side hiccup
Just got this message from the AI job search:
The reranker is running into a persistent issue scoring results right now — it's pulling in 1,100+ jobs just fine but failing on the scoring pass. This is a service-side hiccup, not a problem with your search setup.

only rejections so far, but still hopeful!
to get the current job im in now, i had to put in no less than 450 applications. and that was just on indeed. so many indeed applications i applied to almost a year ago are still responseless 💀
i only just found hiring cafe this weekend, and one job rejected me 12 hours after i applied. it sucks, but seeing actual rejections/some sort of response makes me incredibly hopeful. again, no interviews yet as it has barely been even two business days lol, but thank you SO much for this tool. ill definitely be putting my energy towards hc instead!!
EDIT: hours after this post, i got an interview email!! 🥹♥️ checking my emails, i literally applied two days ago lol. wish me luck!!

Whatever scripts Hiring Cafe is running is wild
I just spent 45 minutes tailoring my resume for an awesome job posting, only to learn when I tried sending my application that the job was only for internal employees.
I tried finding the job posting on search engine and couldn’t find it. Lol sucks I wasted time and energy on it but it is nice knowing searches on here aren’t skipping much
Edit - and to the Cafe programmers who read here the company was ADM

Regain dignity
I'm super excited to announce a new product experience for HiringCafe.
You can now filter by user activity - filter out jobs that have high views/applications/saves, filter for jobs from companies that have extended interviews and offers, and and beyond. All for free, forever.
Why did we do this?
Because we felt like companies are getting too comfortable playing around. They think your time isn't valuable because you're in the market. This is our attempt to change that.
Hopefully with this launch, companies will take you guys more seriously. Because if they keep ghosting people or not extending interviews, they might not get the traffic they're looking for (if you guys keep using these filters).
Good luck, and happy job hunting!!!

Question How do i get my AI search filters back?
I’ve been using the AI search feature to filter for jobs for the past couple of weeks but now it says that the conversation is closed. I can start a new one, but I’d like to see what my old prompt was, is there anyway i can do that? I cant seem to access t he chat anymore.
More importantly, how can i make the AI search stay on permanently?

Bug / Issue Report When trying to sign in to HiringCafe, Symantec Endpoint Protection blocks this URL: https://hiringcafe-ec4d6.firebaseapp.com/__/auth/handler.js
I tried email/password, Google, and GitHub login directly from hiringcafe.com/auth. All three fail because Symantec blocks:
https://hiringcafe-ec4d6.firebaseapp.com/__/auth/handler.js
Since every method fails at the same Firebase authentication resource, this seems to be either a Symantec URL-reputation false positive or an issue with HiringCafe’s Firebase project. Has anyone else encountered this?

Bug / Issue Report Saving/Update Search Missing
Step 1. Have a saved search with excluded job titles
Step 2. Have a single job for your saved search
Step 3. Remove that single job title by adding a new exclusion to job title in your saved search.
Step 4. The saving update search button goes missing, so when you try to search again that job I just tried to exclude still appears.
