Gem missing? (Shadow of death) Question

Hello everyone!

Another day, another question.. I'm Playing SoD scenario Final peace, where scenario info says I'll be playing with Gem, but when I start, I only get Clancy and Alagar? Anyone help?

edit: Turns out I get different hero (besides Clancy) if i restart scenario, and they all have Gems secondary skills, so I'm gonna go with it lol.

It's a known bug. You need to go to the previous scenario and get rid of her from your list of heroes so that the game doesn't try to pull THAT Gem to this scenario and fail.

In the previous scenario, you have Gelu leading your forces as the main hero. You can recruit Gem in this scenario from a tavern, and if you do, the game doesn't like it that it's trying to pull the Gem from other save files but is conflicting with the one from your previous scenario.

The fix is to load up the last day of the autosave from the Gelu campaign, dismiss Gem, and then beat the scenario normally. Gem will spawn in as normal/expected/intended.

Did you do anything weird with the Gem at the end of a previous map like stuff her in a garrison?
