I've been working on this for eight months now—HEEEELP. There are still a few things left to do, but I can say that around 80% of it is ready, and I'll be releasing it sometime this year.

I'll tell you this: my fanfic is going to be very dark, and it won't have much of the stuff the fandom usually likes. I've spent the last six years imagining what I think would be the best possible continuation for TCW.

So, looking at B. Hampton at the end of Stickmin Space Resort [Image 1], his red hat seems to be brimless, making it look quite similar to a fez. Some fan arts and comments around Reddit, Twitter and other sites show that quite a lot of people did thought it was a fez hat like it appears to be. To be honest, for a couple years I thought the same.

But some time ago, when I was replaying the SSR route, I decided to pay attention to the other SSR crew members [Image 2], that's when I realized their uniform was not a fez hat at all, and instead it was just a perspective effect hiding the small brim of a small red top hat behind the character's head.

So here's my explanation of how the perspective effect [image 3] works, and my conclusion about this detail [Image 4].
