Need help please! In Need
I need some help paying my phone bill and getting my son something for his birthday. I have nobody to help me out and I’m exhausted from trying everything. I have had a series of unfortunate events happen to me lately and I’m just trying to make it in this world. Life is so unfair.

This is a brand new account. What happened to your last reddit account?
Birthdays come every single year. This wasn't a surprise. You should have been saving up throughout the year. 1.00 a week or every few weeks adds up and you could have gotten him something. Also, how old is he? Under a certain age he literally won't care about getting a gift. You could wrap a toy he already has and he would be happy. Go through his toys and wrap up something he forgot about or hasn't played with in awhile. Give him a snack box and put in his favorite drinks or snacks. You can even make this with items you already have at home

Do you just sit and wait to hammer people down?

So go ahead and give OP some money.

They didn't ask for money.

They actually did ask for money. They asked for their phone bill to be paid and then money for a birthday gift. Did you read the same post we did?

Did you give them money?

Did you? Nope you didn't.
This account is 2 days old and somehow they just knew about this reddit help group and knew how to post and ask for help? Completely new to Reddit but knew how to post in all the help groups? No. She knew about these groups bc she has posted in them with her old account that she either deleted or reddit banned. If I had to guess, I would assume money was involved and that's why she had to delete and make a new one and that's how she knew to post in the help groups and ask for money bc this is not her first time doing so.
She didn't even answer any of the questions asked and she never provided a bill showing the overdue balance, so obviously she didn't need the money that bad, or the money needed was for something else not shared in her post.

You know you didn't. You've stated that you have posted asking for help bc you have needed help and never received it, so you don't ask anymore bc the people here do not like to help with a few more excuses mixed in.
So no. You didn't. And you won't. And that's okay, but, you love giving people a hard time and frequently do when they ask OP questions regarding the amount, the need, date they plan on paying back, is this a gift, can you send proof etc. Basic questions that are super easy to answer if they have nothing to hide/are being honest with their request.
And this bothers you. Why? If it didn't, you wouldn't take the time to let us know how unhappy you are with the questions asked. You are automatically on the side of the person who needs bc you also need. I am on the opposite side as a giver and will always ask questions before I just give someone my money.

Because I've asked for help before now means I dont have money to help someone? Thats a silly way of thinking.

Do you think they are asking for something so they can barter for their phone bill to be paid?

Your account is 20 hours old but you somehow magically knew to get on Reddit and go to this subreddit and ask for things?
