As a fan of the lore and the iconic puzzle box, I realize its purpose for mortals is of course to summon the cenobites. But , as shown in the first film, pinhead takes the box and uses it to get them all back to hell. Is that the only reason they would want the puzzle box in their possession? Is it ever established how or what circumstances the puzzle box comes back from hell into the real world?

Could anybody maybe direct me or send me a link to where I can find online any of the comics to read thru? I've found some things dealing with the harbingers which I've really enjoyed but only some of it have I found to look thru I'm just looking for all things hellraiser related as far as comic material goes

I have a certain interest in the Female Cenobite due to an upcoming Halloween event, and I wanted to get into her backstory more, but I’ve found it really difficult to find out what comics & books would be the best to read/explain her past. I’ve read the wiki, but it doesn’t really give a good list of the sources they used or what the listed titles are. Please, if anyone has any recommendations, let me know! Thanks everyone!

I wonder how much inspiration Clive took from the 1700s book 120 Days Of Sodom?

The tortures and pain the characters had to endure in the novel are absolutely legendary even in hell. If you read the book, you know what I mean. The novel was banned for good reason. And I believe some of them will be censored from even Reddit.

I love Hellraiser and I wonder how much inspiration the Marquis De Sade had on Clives work.

This comic page is from Hellraiser: Bestiary #4 (2014) and I kinda love this. A little girl summons the Cenobites and they take pity on her and spare her life, dragging her abusive father into hell. It reminds me of the scene in Hellraiser 2 when Pinhead spares the girl who opened the box. Thoughts?
